This is a problem I have been dealing with on some level since I started this project a year ago.

Can anyone tell from the picture if it is fungus. Here is a picture of the rest of the room.

I turned the lights back @ 2 wks ago, probably closer to 3.

I have had this to some degree through my past grows this year but only recently read about this fungus. I cut it off to get a good picture, as of right now the rest of the room is looking good. I have had a leaf or two looking like this that I just remove. Mostly towards the bottom of the plants, this one was about mid way. The girls are as healthy as I have ever had except for this issue.

All but one plant is a reveg, the bottom left is new, was told the seeds were old Panama Red but who knows, I don't know what it supposed to look like at this point but I had a different picture in my head, maybe its still a little early. VERY robust though, incredible symmetry, I took four starts off of her which are very Happy in the Clone box.

I have a 400 HPS on a mover, 400 MH stationary and a few 30-40W CFL's hanging around the canopy. Using Miracle Grow this time and the plants seem to like it, plus it's cheap. Water is 7.0 out of the tap, I let it sit for 2-3 days before using. Run off ph is 5.5-6.0 varies by pot. They are all in 3 gallon pots/soil which is Happy Frog. Thanks All.

If your run-off ph is that high - and measuring run off is not the correct way to measure ph - then your medium must be seriously low ph if the water you put in that ran off is at 7. For once the right answer is nitrogen def - I see a lot of people say that to anything here involving leaf discolouration - and they're usually wrong. Add sequestered iron and/or high N feed, just once mind! Then? Watch them go green again.

Good luck

Cheers!

They look great.

CaliMagic? by General Hydropics 1-0-0. The dude behind the counter gave it to me for a freebie when I told him where I was getting my water. I can certainly add it at the next watering. I am investing in a more reliable test for PH today. I admit the runoff method is guessy. I really should test the water solids too. Gather a little more accurate facts. The science guy in me says that. I had to go back and read my post I thought I screwed up my numbers... The runoff water tests at 5.5 to 6 depending on the plant. My tap water is 7. I have one of those Ace hardware ph stab in the ground tools... Jeers to that, I can see I need to go get an accurate PH meter. AS it's going to have a lot to do with the solution. I will Do the CalMag supplement to the plant throwing the ugly leaves. I can safely increase the Nitrogen for a bit too.

It's going to get busy down there with the added light. I still cannot believe all the arms reaching off the revegges. Probably six per. and they are all very close to the same apical advantage the center stem is. They have never grown like this. It's going to be a mighty green Spring here. Thank you for enlarging that plant Beech. That is the one from the Mythical Panama Red seeds I was given. Maybe someone that knows that plant from the bygones can chime in and say it looks right. I expect it a hybrid but who knows, she's still awesome and my best plant to date. As always, Great input.

CALiMAGic™ is a concentrated blend of readily available Calcium and Magnesium. It is formulated to assist fast growing plants by preventing secondary nutrient deficiencies. CALiMAGic helps optimize plant nutrition and enhances plant growth and development while preventing blossom end rot and tip burn in many crops such as tomatoes and lettuce as well as other Calcium intensive plants. Use CALiMAGic as a part of your regular feeding program, it is a clean, fully soluble product that will not clog spray lines or drip emitters and is safe to use in reservoirs combined with many other fertilizers.

Sorry Beech, got side trracked.. It is MG tomato food. 18-18-21.. I was using reduced strength, in The Happy frog soil. I just started the 0-10-10 a few days ago and holy crap!! I stopped the mater food and in it's place am putting half strength Schultz African Violet food in. 8-14-9. I wanted to keep the p/k up but reduce the N.. do you think that makes sense? the plants seem to approve, the leaves are all green/blue, and a few red hues on the mystery plant..BUd sites are off the hook, hundreds of them. The revegges are just silly this time. I think the PR is gonna flash red!! keeping my fingers crossed.

PS, I did put the Cal mag in. and just running with a low dose N and increased P/K with trace minerals.. So thanks for all the input Harley and Beech..good stuff.

Agree with a little Nitrogen in late flower But alot of ppl dont,They prefer there fan leaves to turn yellow and fall off.
I dont agree with Uncle Buck often but his thread about it makes perfect sense.Just dont go politics with him save your breath.LOL

Ive got a Bigbud in a Waterfarm tht i mainlined and fimed it has over 25 budsites,With a 1khps its gonna yield over 8zips,Got 6zips off one with only 18 budsites. So wish me luck.

Happy new YR,early.

Oh heck ya, I'll be watching and paying attention. Yeah..a 1/2lb off one plant..thats pretty amazing. I can hope to get to that level.

I tried my hand at fimming a couple sites on the bushes a few weeks ago. I will post pictures of the efforts. After healing and growing out, they went from one top to a top with three or so closer nodes. NOt sure if that was exactly what was to happen but they will certainly be juicier than without the whack, they did not split as I thought they would have. I think I may have not gone deep enough.

I would be happy to get a few 1oz plants this time. I am optimistic it will happen. I got close a few rotations back..but the plants looked nothing like this. Short of a major catastrophe..knock on wood.. They should perform. I will get some more photo's in the journal later today, I do believe it's water day. I will be spending a lot of extra close inspection time from here out. The bud sites are starting to get pretty well pronounced. Will be watching for sneaky male parts.. Which brings up a question..Are revegges more prone to herming? I would think they might based on the plants desire to survive and multiply after flowering once and failing to seed.

I'll tell you that cheapo yard lamp for my clone box was money well spent. The plants love it!

Peace and Happy New Year!!

Krikes, I am having a time with my internet connection. I will try this again!

Yeah, I have been looking at some water Pharming and am anxious to start. I have pretty much all I need to build it, I have an RO giddyup, buckets, hoses, reservoirs I have been piling up outside for my outdoor gardens, Clay pellets, and a book or two on hydro. I used to work with pneumatics and have some pretty cool flow controls and what not that will be helpful I am sure. Water pumps, air pumps etc.. I have four 35 ga white food grade barrels I use for my outdoor drip and Compost tea..so I guess I have talked myself into it. Looking at those returns I do believe it is time, as much as I love soil, it only makes sense when the returns are that much better. On the subject of equipment, I just scored a CO2 regulator and solenoid so I might start enriching the air and see if ther is anything to that, I can see the logic when pushing the envelope on super grows that might need a boost, but am not so sure it would benefit an average soil grow.

So I figure if I cant get any plants points I would try another approach..kiss-ass

Lobster and Squab..well game hens..for new years dinner with my ma. Lost my dad a few years ago so I migrate out there quite a bit. My mom is very helpful with my grow efforts..almost like she has done this before.. WE had a blast, blew off about 40 big mortars.

IMG_20121231_192626_083.jpgIMG_20121231_192644_200.jpgIMG_20130101_085736_057.jpg Lobster omelette with taters and Zucchini from the out door efforts, The only part not home grown organic is the Lobster.

IMG_20130101_064505_261.jpg These are a few of the babies from her green room, Lemon HAze and a couple experiments, They will all be cropped and topped for Spring planting Oh yeah, she has a lemon tree in there too..I figure if she can grow lemons at the 49th parallel she could probably grow weed out of cement mix.

Todays update.. they are liking the fish juice!! maybe a week after the first fish feeding..I do not remember, better look in the journal.
IMG_20130101_220517_432.jpgIMG_20130101_220531_110.jpgIMG_20130101_220538_782.jpg After lights out I snapped a few pictures, I think the reveg on the left is a little droopy, likely due to the temp, but probably just resting for the night, they perk up pretty quick when the lights come back on. I removed the register out of the plenum in the basement to warm it up a bit down there, we are getting some single digits this week. My temp swings are 62-73. I notice when it is cooler they are slow on the H2O uptake. These photo's give a much better overall indication of their color. No signs of burning and I think are just primed full of stores to make some big buds. New growth arond the sites is vigorous, The revegges started throwing seven finger leaves which has never happened before. After harvest I am going to pot up the root balls and attempt another revegg a second time. By then it will be spring summer so I can take them outside.

Well if the Lobster and Plant pics don't get points..kiss-asshow about Mr. Security? He had a tangle with an F-250 a year ago and had a pelvis rebuild and major hip repair. He is Quite an amazing dog.

I make him cannabisquits for his lingering pain, I know he hurts a bit now and then. His doc/surgeon gave me the green light on the cookies. BIG help in his overall recovery. I would have never been able to support that If weren't growing. I am sure if he had thumbs he would make his own. There are a lot of mixed reviews and challenges to this but I defend them, he is living proof again the usefulness of this medication.

I hear ya bro. It is a terrible thing to lose a pet in any way, but that is tragic and I am sorry to hear that, dogs are so live in the moment sometimes and just don't understand vehicles. A buddy of mine Lost his ACD when it pulled a Superman at 50 MPH out the back of the truck! I about punched him, but he knew of his mistake. When Cooper got hit He was all but dead. Cooper is so atheletic he could clear, and did, his six foot kennel with a standing jump.. When I got on scene he was just a pile of mess, The guy that hit him stopped, wasn't his fault at all, but Coop was just scared and screaming..etc. when he saw me he layed his head down and just looked at me with a look I will never forget. I had never seen it before but he was communicating trust and just relaxed. We stretchered him on the leather coat I had on to my vet 40 mi away. It's quite an amazing story. BUt the short is, he gets a little extra love. For three months after the two surgeries I carried him in a sling outside every few hours..He could not posture to do his business and had lost all anal tone.. not to mention both hips had been fileted open for the rebuild, which equates to almost constant cleaning. Its been a long year, hard to believe how fast his recovery has been. He has exceeded all expectation. I really do attribute it a lot to his medicated bisquits, gives him time to really rest and of course relieves his pain. I may do a long version with pics in another journal entry. It is a real testament to how well MMJ is tolerated and works on canines. The primary strain is not so Psychoactive, especially when cooked. CAUTION: I would not recommend early bud off a high THC strain though! he is neurotic and OCD enough, after all he is a Heeler.
