Puffenuff's 2020 Grow

What's up RIU? After taking a couple years break I've been lurking for the last week or so and trying to get caught up. Seems like not a whole lot has changed except I don't see a lot of the old familiar names as much. Hope everyone is out there doing well and staying safe.

And now on to the grows.

Puff's Magic Closet

2 clones. One Zkittlez (L) and one Mendo Breath (R). The Zkittlez had a couple weeks head start. That's why it's bigger. The mendo was just topped a couple days ago. They'll probably veg another week or so. Might top the Zkittlez again to give the mendo a chance to catch up some. We'll see...

Space is 2'x4'
Lights are 2 NextLight Core units (190w each)
Medium is CANNA Coco
5g fabric pots
CANNA nutrients plus added Calcium and Silica

Chamber of Chronic

And here's a look at my other lights in a 4x4. 3 Mendos and something called Starburst. Also in 5g pots. Running same nutrient recipe. Mix of Apache Techs (Front), NextLights (Rear), and a custom light I had built (Center). Somewhere around 750w

That's all I have for now. I'll get another update in a week or so. Let me know if you have any questions. Peace.

...and a custom light I had built (Center) ... i saw a custom COB led light with lens... on led driver way ...i prefer more distance from lamp heatsink dissipator.....

...and sorry for my spanish talk...;)

Hey man, thanks and good to see you still posting. I'm not sure if I was given an option about the driver placement on that cob fixture. It was a few years back. Haven't had any issues with too much heat from it. I understand what you're saying though. My wife speaks Spanish and Google Translate can usually fill in the gaps for me. I'll have to check out your new thread, looks like you're collecting some good info over there.

Peace

Alright. It's first day of 12/12. The Mendo on the right caught up some ground but the Zkittlez is still a few inches taller and overall just bushier. Again, it had a 2-3 week veg head start over the Mendo. I'd really prefer to veg the mendo another week or two, but made a decision to just flip now. Maybe they'll even out some more as they start their stretch...

So far so good. Will be back at the end of week 1 / start of week 2 for another peek in on them.

Peace

Back with an update as we close out week one and get week 2 started. I like how they're shaping up. The Mendo has really made some strides to catch up. Planning on going into the Zkittlez soon to do a little cleanup down low and inside. Sometime in the next week or so. Will also put some stakes in eventually.

Not much else happening over here. Hope everyone is being smart and staying safe. Peace

Here are the ladies as we wrap up week 2 and kick off week 3. They're really flowering nicely. So far it's been pretty smooth. Lights are between 10-12 inches from the canopy. You can tell in the pictures that the mendo on the right has some stretchier tops. Was expecting that but at least the canopy evened out better than I expected.

That's all I got for this week. Still planning getting up in there and doing some slight cleaning underneath but not today. Maybe I'll get to it over the weekend.

Peace

Hey Puffdaddy 2010 Called And They Want Their Lights Back :hump::hug:bongsmilie
Ha! I know you're joking but also some truth to it. My Apache Techs are still kicking ass so I'll run them until there's nothing left in the tank. But the real truth of the matter is you're still all sour I never gave you one :bigjoint:
What sort of lights you running these days? What's happening in the dawg's garden?

.... sorry if it's offtopic ...

... @ Dawg I liked the fin pin heatsinks for the cobs ...
... but being a driver to ... there is no output for dimeo by potentiometer ...

... as an old electrician I have a peculiar pov ... I will only say ...
... the strips with AC electrical connections and the drivers I prefer outside the cabinet ...
... in a place far from the ground in case of flooding ...

... the other great ...

Regards
Ah Brother Salmonetin The A Driver Has An Internal Pot For Dimming Just Use A Kill-A-Watt Meter To Adjust Wattage. The Reason I Use The A Type Driver Is It Give's Me About 50 More Watts Over The B Driver With The External Pot.

There are AB drivers nowadays with best of booth worlds. Ive also heard of a hackto get those last watts out of a B type driver: use 110kohms foor dimming (measure youur dimmer resistance and add a resistance accordingly; most of the time the dimmer wont be 100kohm exactly).

But I Only Live In My World And Yes I Know How To Check Resistance On Pot's. I Choose The A Driver For Simplicity Set It And Forget It. The Extra Watts Is Just Bonus. bongsmilie

Right on, man. Looks like you're still doing your thing. Those look like some nice colas you got there. I don't know much about the Citizen COBs but your light looks like it's doing the trick. What strain is she?

Welcome back Puffenuff! Glad you're still good.
Thanks! Good to see you still around. Got a journal of anything current to check out?

Good to see you back puff, still rocking those next lights....... Very nice

I'll grab a chair, ladies look solid
Yooooo! What's happening brother?? How are things in your neck of the woods?

This like a 2012 riu reunion up n here , glad to see many doing well still :joint::peace:
What's up bro! It really is...Still missing a lot of the old regulars though. Hope everyone is out there doing well. It's some crazy times we're in these days. Thankfully, gardening has always been a way for me to escape and mellow/even out so I'm super grateful to have it as an outlet. Happy to share it with you guys too.
