Got a hold of a wine refrigerator and its been a goal of mine to grow me some PS azurescens or cyn:fire:.... any one have a bulk wood chip recipe or tek?

I have done it a few times, PDA to rye to cardboard spawn to fresh alder, mix of chips and sawdust. I cased lightly with leaf mulch.

Sorry canndo never got the memo someone responded!.........That is so awesome somebody already accomplished my mission here....so f*ckin jealous.....what where your ratios if you remember? I plan to spawn to wbs got a print from hawks....

I did rye to sterile coragated cardboard to maybe 30/30/40 coarse, small, then sawdust.

I pasteurized the substrate in hard then laid it out on the innoculated cardboard. Keeping the wood moist was a bitch so I covered it with plastic, removing it every few days. Then I put wet leaves on top, I am not sure that was needed as I never saw a whole lot of growth through the leaves.

got a major and a minor flush.

Did you run it in wine fridge like i plan to? what were your temps?

I kept the room at 72, and pumped that air into my plenum where I conditioned it to 90 rh. I did kept it closed till I had about 80 percent coverage. Nice thing about wood is its selectivity, I never got contam on it so I could jump the gun on fruiting. The leaf casing did get mold but it never seemed to overtake my grow, probably the cold. Then I tried to take it all down to mid 60's. And bumped the exchange up, to 1 per hour. . It was definitely still too warm but I got a decent flush anyway. Again, the problem is that it was always like keeping the fridge open.

here are the proper parameters:

spawn run: 65-75
run 30 to 60 days
rh 90
co2 10,000 ppm

exchange 0

primordia formation:
rh 95
temp 50-60
co2 less than 5000 ppm
exchange 2 per hour
fruit:
rh 85 - 92
temp 50-60 (here after you trigger you can go up, but the fruit are sort of flabby)
co2 5000 ppm or less
exchanges 2 per hour
light diffuse natural or flourescent heavy in the blue

any new deciduous wood will do and I have heard that you can sweeten cardboard, sterilize it and fruit on rolls in a jar.

I have also heard that you can fortify your sawdust/chips with 5or 10 percent bran.

HOWEVER

if you are in a cooler climate, in this one case you may have mote success if you go directly outside.

dig a trench in shade, a foot and a half, lay your collonized cardboard at the bottom and cover with your soaked wood. You can sandwich in more collonized cardboard.

cover the pile so it doesn't dry, water it frequently.

once you are established you can side dress or heap more wood on the pile and have two or three flushes a season pretty much forever.
