Pruning when flowering

I am 5 days in flowering. Can I prune bottom branches without delaying the grow? :leaf:

A fair amount of people do this as the lower leaves will die anyway, all the plants energy becomes focused on flower (bud) production. The plant may be in a little shock for a day or so (if that) so you don't have much to worry about on that side of things.

This was from another thread (https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/94572-lollipop-method.html) :

i wait until i am three weeks into flower than i strip the lower third or so. there's not much more to it. :blsmoke:
pretty easy.

Hope this helps, happy growing!

I completely agree, I always prune the bottom leave and bud sites, they won't produce shit and more of the plants energy will go toward producing big buds on top

But to the best of my knowledge pruning them that early won't delay growth, but if you top them while budding you will end up with bigger buds because it makes the plant diffuse its energy but will delay growth about a week

yea my mate chopped alot of ours u big time, he aaid he increased his yield ALOT when he did this to when he diddnt good luck

since choppin at the start the chopped plants actually produced less, the un touched ladies ahve bigger buds so not sure what ha;ppened

I think its best to chop the lower leaves and shoots ON the side shoots, but not the side shoots off the main stem. Those each make a nice top cola! Basically, if it has a really thin stem and a weak leaf, its generating stretch hormones which uses energy and causes stretching in the area. At least my take on why it would improve yield.
