Pruning / tucking / bending leaves during flower.

I'm in week 3 of flowering and despite some aggressive pruning - not quite defoliation - I have a jungle forming in my tent.

I want to know if what I've been doing is ok during flowering:

Bending and tucking leaves --- I'm tucking more than a West Hollywood exotic dancer!
Leaves are tucked under budsites / each other. Sometimes leaf stems are kinked, but this never seems to affect leaf growth or health in any way.

Pruning - 1-4 leaves per plant that are shading budsites have been removed as needed.

They all look great but I'm concerned about getting PM if I stop pruning (leaves all over each other), and hermaphrodites if I continue pruning.

Thanks & happy growing!

These shots are a few days old, the holes have filled in.
I've been taking a leaf or two when I can't tuck them out of the way - but I think I could take more - just concerned about stressing them.

Heading in the tent to take some updated shots now.

Here's shots from tonight - I've begun separating the pots by an inch or two as needed, but the leaf density has me concerned.

TIA
edit - grow journal is in my sig

This is a perfect example where some defoliation, while not 100% ideal, will get you through to a harvest without PM, otherwise, will all those leaves touching, you run a high risk of issues. It's the downside of having a few too many plants in one space. Could be worse though, and they look great. Good luck.

Many thanks!

I was pretty sure I should remove them, but the last thing I want is a tent full of herms because I couldn't put the shears down.

I planted 7 figuring on a couple males, but all 7 are female - guess my first grow will be when I discover the need for canopy management! lol

Dont think of it is as having to expose budsights. The buds grow from their fan leaves that feed them. A bud hidden but with its leaves exposed does not need help.

Leaves on leaves, and large fans at the top shading other fans should be the main focus.
