Pruning, Is It Related to Potency?

I was thinking about THC. Why is it being made? Whats it's purpose?
THC is made in the Trichomes. Theres not alot of it being produced in each
Trichome. I'm thinking it's being made as a animal repelant. Insecets, deer, ect. Now what if you pruned your flowering plant? would the plant react form this loss and increase THC production?

Easy enough to find out. Scrap the trich's off of a leaf. See what happens. See if they grow back.

yes i was thinking about something along those lines.

Lets say you pruned your plant good. I would trade the yield for the potency.
1 hit weed is lotts better than 3 or 4 hit weed.
