Proposition 64 is a trap?

Tru dat Calliandra!

You're the OP of this thread and if you don't request the removal of a post then it should stand so you and others can properly kick the offender's ass in public.

I went to a thread a couple of days ago because it's title said pot pics with the wife's boobs tossed in to make it interesting but by the time I got there Sunni took out the boob pic citing "no nudity here". WTF! Boobs aren't nudity, they're art!

In Canada here a woman has the right to go topless anywhere a man can tho they certainly don't do it as much as I'd like. ;) A woman in Maple Ridge, BC went to jail riding her bicycle down the road topless and that's how we got legal for public boobs. People walk naked for pot and don't get busted for that.

No one wants to see RUI turn into a porn site but if a guy wants to show off his wife's assets along with his plants then where's the harm in that?

:peace:

The fact that minors might see it while surfing in their American basements is the problem, because of course you have to shoot the forum for anything a user might post.

I didn't say it was a GOOD reason...

Yeah @OldMedUser, I see a bunch of interest groups there - people profiting from illegality on the one hand, big corp on the other. The medical users, who depend upon being able to medicate with a minimum of resistances. And somewhere in there, the good old stoner who just wants his peace and quiet too... whereby I don't get the feeling a single word caters to the interests of the latter two.

And then the complexity of the interrelationships between different Acts and Laws, it's rather confusing for an outsider (and probably for californians too)
Making regulatory writing so difficult to understand fully is one of the tactics of maintaining control.

In the past year, I have seen politics become ever more brazen, flying in the face of the "little man on the street" and enriching themselves, not as it used to be, behind closed doors, but out in the open and declaredly. I will never forget how Merkel said they'd just buy the whole country up during the Greece crisis...
Wow so they are now certain we're all well asleep and will let them do anything they want because we're so busy scrimping and scratching and working two jobs and all that just to get by?
It's just scary, what I'm seeing...

What you're seeing is the creeping advance of corporate fascism. The elite wealthy at the top get one kind of justice and the rest get the club for minor offenses. It's classism, pure and simple.

Yeah I thought so too.
That's also why I started this, as I wanted to know whether people in California are aware, and what they think they can do about it?

hands off the dog, Lou!

Those are Pin's arms around the dog, obviously -- I'm the big spoon, the more bearish guy, duhh. FFS, Tangerine.

Nighty night, bae.

Lights off and broth has been consumed....down the hallway and to beddddd......zzzzz....

EDIT: OP - Sorry for fuddling your thread with semi-gay stuff and full-on gay frog stuff.

I thought 64 is already getting the no vote pretty much everywhere across the board. Its on most lawns and overpass bridges and buisnesses where i live.
Well that sounds encouraging. LOL I'd never have thought I'd find a failed effort to legalize a good thing!
Question is if there is any chance to ever get an untainted piece of legislation going...

The rich will just keep getting richer and the poor get poorer while the middle class disappears as it has since the 80s or so. The current status quo of all our political systems wants to keep it that way.

The vague wording and legalese that is part and parcel of new laws coming out about cannabis re-legalization is aimed mainly at maintaining the elites of the world. The second that the DEA ever re-schedules cannabis to lower than #1 you are going to see hundreds of new corporate sponsors come online with products and services that they have fine-tuned under the radar waiting for relaxed laws.

Just look at the proliferation of female only seeds these days. If anyone thinks that that is for our convenience they got another think coming! It's to reduce the chances that we can keep original strains by producing our own seeds like I have done for decades. I flat out refuse to buy fem versions from any source. I may produce my own using my homemade colloidal silver but that will be for MY convenience! And others as well as I have given away seeds for years to almost anyone who needs some. No guarantees but no charge either. :)

The New World Order is not a conspiracy theory and will be our reality by mid-century. The technology of knowing our every movement, deed and even thought is here and now but hasn't yet been fully integrated into all societies as we can't accept it all at once until dinosaurs like myself die off.

I have a Fu*kBook account but only drop in once a year or so. People I might want to hear from can find my number in the phone book. Pay-as-U-go flip phone for when I'm out and might need to make a call. At home it's off as we have a landline for regular use.

Call me paranoid but also call me free of corporate interests, criminal intentions and most toxic substances in our food and drink!

Oh absolutely! I watched a vid of Hillary Clinton talking about the re-scheduling, the way she was saying "we need to have the research first" it sounded like she was going to put on that lab coat and do it herself?
Anyway WE didn't sound like we, all the citizens at all!

I think we are in a time window at the moment, on the one hand the indirect repressive mechanisms (subtle conditioning during education, promoting scarcity of money, jobs, time to keep the populace on its toes for sheer survival, values transported by advertisement, all that) are working out nicely.

On the other, however, we have some awesome people making films and writing books about our current context, explaining how we got where we are today, bringing facts to the table that have purposely been left out to influence our views... and we can think what we like of the internet, but it IS a great medium for diffusing these viewpoints, so necessary to balance out "official" versions of history and societal analysis.

So while our situation is dire indeed, there is also hope and opportunity.
And it IS now or never, in a few decades our planet will be a different place if we let corporate interests rule any longer. Every little thing we do to take back control over our own lives makes a difference!
Getting out of the consumption loop and sharing things (tools, appliances...) amongst neighbors/friends, converting a lawn into a veggie patch, being friendly and understanding with one another....
But we also need to unite more, if we still can.
And be aware that we have been trained to fail at that, find the patience and mutual trust to work through it. Start something new, different, to what we have now, in how we deal with ourselves, others, and the world around us.

And yeah. I'm scared that sooner or later, there will be violence. Of course the old system will try to prevent its own demise - and they have it all, thanks to our financing, to be successful. How perverse is that?!

Our perspectives may differ in the details but it's good to see that you're also looking at the big picture.

thanks for sharing that, yeah it's very practice-oriented take on pretty much the same points as Letitia Pepper's legistic analysis :)
Do you think people are getting this?

I'm sorry, I don't have to explain anything to you.

I delete blatant anti-legalization campaigning, there, I explained it.

Since you're not even in the U.S. you should be happy just watching what happens.
