Proper Ph

I went to get some Ph adjusting stuff the other day but the pool section only had huge gallon jugs of it so I remembered I read about getting it at the pet store...

While looking for the Ph up and down I saw a product called Proper Ph 6.5 that I'd used before in my fishtank that's supposed to instantly make your water 6.5 and was like hell yea that's perfect...

So it said 1 scoop per 10 gallons of water so I weighed a scoop and it was 10 grams so 1 gram to 1 gallon of water. I mixed it up last night and watered with it today (soil medium mg organic yea I know mg is the devil but literally all I could find without a bunch of time release stuff in it)

I used my soil ph meter to check and all 3 have different readings! One was 6 one was about 5 and my favorite is 4! Having watered with this only once will it take a while to even out? I didn't check the water before I used it as it had sat out and had the adjustment, it always worked fine in the fish tank so I assumed it would work fine in a jug of water, and I only have a soil ph test kit...

I haven't used any nutes yet as they are only about a week and a half old, but I got my Flora series today and I'll probably start them on it after I've switched to a third each peat moss/compost/perlite for the medium and the bigger pots...

They are in 6" diameter pots atm...

So, I guess my question is should I continue to use this and see what happens, or get some ph up and down? Although I can't see it being any different essentially so if one works the other should?

Thanks for the help, I tried searching for answers but ph is too short to be a valid search parameter...

Wow, that stuff sounds perfect. They say DON'T use on plants though. Talk about a perfect invention though. You need to make some Perfect PH 6.5 that's good for plants and you will be rich! Every stoner in the world will buy your product.

Just get general hydroponics test/correction kit from a hydro shop or online. It is made for plants.

Lol, it's fine. Better now then when your plants are dead.

There are natural ph up and downs too: lemon juice, vinegar, baking soda, etc. My ph is around 7.0 so I use a few drops of lemon concentrate juice to bring it down to 6.5.
