According to the State of California analysis, the bill will have the following effects.[6]
[edit] Legalization of personal marijuana-related activities

  • May possess up to 1 ounce (28 g) of marijuana for personal consumption.
  • May use marijuana in a non-public place such as a residence or a public establishment licensed for on site marijuana consumption.
  • May grow marijuana at a private residence in a space of up to 25 square feet (2.3 m2) for personal use.
[edit] Local government regulation of commercial production and sale

  • Local government may authorize the retail sale of up to 1 ounce of marijuana per transaction, and regulate the hours and location of the business.
  • Local government may authorize larger amounts of marijuana for personal possession and cultivation, or for commercial cultivation, transportation, and sale.
  • Allows for the transportation of marijuana from a licensed premises in one city or county to a licensed premises in another city or county, without regard to local laws of intermediate localities to the contrary.

one plant, one Oz = No on Prop 19..that means i cant grow over a ounce to..ima have to say no to that i dont grow unless im pulling a qp at harvest time..shit

What these guys don't understand is that to the writers of this bill we are just consumers or employees and to the police we are always gonna be just stoners just like alcoholics are still alcoholics. Your not gonna get any love from the police even if this passes your still gonna be just a stoner. Hopefully, maybe the county that we live in will allow some corporation to sell mmj to us at whatever cost they choose with as much tax necessary. maybe, hopefully your local official is a stoners and allow you to grow your own weed in a 5x5 plot or maybe hopefully more. maybe hopefully they don't charge us an arm and a leg to grow on our own property. you may be able to be employed at one of these corporate establishments where you can clock in and out everyday and maybe work your way up to being a manager maybe. hopefully your boss is a stoners or he might have to think of an excuse to fire you. Hopefully maybe hopefully maybe people will just vote no and keep it medical.o

not true, culture is just so ingrained with smoking cigarettes that its never going to be outlawed even if it should be. you dont think you shouldnt be allowed to smoke cigs in front of youre kids? because i honestly do. they seemed like just as much a gateway drug to me. obviously it is a way more toxic smoke than pot but the govt will never push that point of view. either way its in the health and safety code i dont care what your opinion is. its there

for limits on growing the verstise guy has already said told you and shown the case where legal precedent was set to defend all of that. there will be no plot restrictions to your plants, plain and simple, sometimes our system works in the peoples favor. the fact that prop 215 is its own laws why would they be restricted by 19? medical and recreational use are completely different terms and theres a reason 19 doesnt use medical and 19 in any way shape or form. theyre leaving it alone.

and once it passes anyway it can simply be amended down in penalties if and when the people get pissed so i hope you all vote yes and stick it out with the rest of us. we really might not have another chance, and the non smoker and NON-STONER demographics are really pleased with 19. please note the difference in smoker-stoner. its pretty big. and contrary to stoner belief the smokers outnumber us a shitload. im talkin about your dad who smokes maybe every 2 weeks and my dad, and friends. ETC
The point is as it stands currently, smoking in the presence of minors is NOT considered ENDANGERING anyone...prop 19 will change that...thanks DICK!

A voter initiative can only be amended by ANOTHER vote of the people during a special or general election...a pricey and difficult task...

Anyone who thinks that the loose language will be interpreted in OUR favor is...a little high to say the least.

To say this is our only chance is total BS...but when this passes...it will fook every other state waiting in line to see what Cali is gonna do...the laws outside of Kalifornia will be MUCH more restrictive.

This dumb ass proposition creates new canna crimes!!!!! It's a freaking plant not a crime!!! I don't give a rat's ass who is in the room...:wall:

Anyone who is defending a 5x5 space does not do this full time...sure maybe get a seed order and fill a tent...harvest early and smoke out all your friends for a month...then back to schwag...

I am VERY small and usually run a perpetual...with flower, veg and clone I am very close to the 25sq ft in the three areas...tend to move plants into the sun cuz I am cheap and in this case could exceed the 25.

But hell if this is the end of prohibition...I might want to quit hiding...get some of my indoor living space back for those with no roots...AND GROW OUTDOORS!!!! being restricted to 25sqft outdoors during a growing season GUARANTEES I will have to give DICK and his Dick like friends my money!!! I refuse!!! So now I will be left to break Cannabis laws!!!!

This is not about legalization for the people...It IS about Dick Lee becoming disgustingly wealthy and NOTHING else!

It is unfortunate that smoke and mirrors is being bought by the genetically deficient (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition) and dumb ass pot heads who can't see past the novelty of buying pot over the counter...LEAP obviously has not thought about having their job as the morality police will increase...making sure no minor children can see (or felony arrest!)...and no adults under 21 can touch (misdemeanor + revenue!)...and that no leaves extend beyond the line (yeah what if??...manufacturing a controlled substance???)

And even worse...if and when this crap passes...why would anyone support the Jack Herrer initiative which not only does not add new Canna Crimes...but actually mandates the release of our brothers and sisters rotting in jail for a war on freedom.

Fuck Richard Lee and Fuck prop 19.

so stay prop 215, why is this a hardship?
it is clearly stated in prop 19 that it does not affect 215
it is referenced as obscure health code numbers, that seems to confuse some
not everybody sucks down a pound of weed a month, most don't
those that do, well, that's a strong argument for medical need

So now I continue to pay this tax to the doctor...but now my privacy is out the window as barney fife wants to measure my garden...then the checking of documents and an attempt to verify...as it stands now, the pigs take the shit first and ask questions later...

Many LEO's want it legalized but even more will be a little bent that it is now legal and will be enforcing the "Law"...Nosing in to make sure that the Landlord gave his blessing, that a tied up cola doesn't fall down and hang outside your 25 and violate your whole garden (What broken tail light?...smash)...Just need to come inside to make sure everybody is 21+...kid wakes up to see what's the commotion...uhoh...now we got a felony! Roscoe better call us a wagon!

I left Kansas 17 years ago for a reason...I can breath in cali...medical or not...it makes growing A LITTLE mellower...but the pigs kick in doors and ask questions later...after you are in handcuffs.

Prop 19 does not legalize pot...it allows you to buy small amounts from a very few...it lets you, sort of, grow a little bit of pot for fun (or indoors at great expense like people do illegally all over the fucking world for 25 years now) then, again buy small amounts from a very few select individuals a great expense...for those that think this will bring down the price...think again...it will be clinic priced or above by the time every one gets their cut...

And it seems that the majority that are for this are NOT currently living here...So goes California...So goes the Nation...s o r t o f ....Any copycat legislation (especially outside of Oregon, Colorado, and Mass.) will be dramatically more conservative...Getting it wrong is no favor to the rest...I think 99 plants and 12 pounds leaves enough wiggle room for 1/4 bags in the bible belt...and expunging non-violent cannabis convictions would send a powerful message to other states whose prisons are full of non-violent mandatory minimum prisoners (brothers and sisters)...This POS creates new crimes:wall::wall::wall::wall:

why does prop 19 make a point to address it if it already exists?

how come you all don't get it?
heres the deal, right now, if you medicate in front of a kid, as long as you aren't getting them high, it should be covered under prop 215.

However, with prop 19, even if you don't get your kid high , like say you are ventilating the smoke or something, it is still a felony! Also, the language is vague, it could mean on the same premise, or maybe same room, or maybe if a kid from another property altogether even sees you, it could be considered grounds for felony. So, I guess well have to hammer that one out for 3-4 years in court till we get a resolution .. or we could wait till 2012 and vote for a real legalization proposition, imo...

that part of the bill alone will have many lock away, for the simple fact that the police officer/ sheriff gets to make the call on that! It's at their discretion!! Scenario: a Dick head cop pulls you over one day, smells weed in your car and see your buddy who is 20 in the passenger seat. Even though you had smoked hours before, a small scent still lingers and the officers notices. A normal cop would except your explanation, but a Dick head cop could lawfully have you imprisoned for a term decided by a judge. Again that's completely at his discretion you can try to argue your innocence but you'll be in handcuffs while your doing it. Unless of course you afford bail or lawyer. Now we all know that cops are just normal guys we went to high school with. You don't need a law degree to be a cop. The way the bill is written he could interpret it any way he felt just like we do on this forum. Now your freedom is in danger cause some cop was having a bad day and you rubbed him wrong. Hopefully the yes on 19 is prepared for this type of treatment. The way it is now LEGAL for medicine, that scenario could play out the same way, the difference is, as a patient you'll have a leg to stand on. Cause it doesn't say specially that smoking around someone is under 21 is illegal. Prop 19 clearly does. Now if this sounds fair fetched to you then you don't live in california.

many out of stater's are hopeful for 19, nothing wrong with that as long as you represent yourself honestly
i'm not holding a gun to anyone's head in the voting booth, this is just conversation
but you fear police will start measuring your medical grows?
again, prop 19 states that prop 215 rules supersede prop 19, you will have the same rights
it's interesting that you think that MJ enforcement will become a larger priority under 19
warrants for tape measuring a home grow? maybe in some locales, but it seems like that will get old very quickly
and you get these warrants from smell? some snitch says i saw weed?
the bar is raised for what constitutes probable cause of a crime, it has to be a large non MMJ grow
ultimately, this is about failed federal MJ law, that is the source of the poison
and prop 19 is a kick to the federal cojones, fedral law won't change without some incentive to do so

Not to mention obtaining a great career without the fear of random drugs tests.
in ca right now there is nothing precluding a company from canning someone for showing
positive for marijuana (this includes patients too) The piss clean kit company's are going
to loose some income lol. Would be nice to be at a job interview and not have worries.
