I personally went with the Sunshine Mix Organic.. worked like a charm.. perlite already mixed in with nearly the same nutrient content as the Fox Farm Ocean Mix...:blsmoke: jus my two cents tho...

I use Promix BX and like it quite a bit. It also has pH stabilizers in the grow medium. It doesn't have nutes in it I don't think. It's just peatmoss, perlite, and vermiculite I believe.

ProMix is an inert medium where as FFOF has all types of organics in it already. For someone new to growing I would reccomend FF because all you do is add PHd water for say a 4 -5 week veg cycle. ProMix has to have nutes added to it almost from the beginning to keep the plants going. Both are great mediums. Nothing wrong with MG soil either, I have grown many a good plant in that stuff, even the soil w/ slow release capsules has grown me some dankness, but I DONT reccommend slow release soils because the plants have to be heavily monitered and almost always run a 90 day finishing time with only 20% amber trichs. I suspect that it's the low ph the soil retains all the way up till the end.

I always have to lower my miracle grow soil by flower as it will go into ph of 8s if let alone to do so other then that no monitoring just water and and thats it

Hey Fletch, are you using the MG soil w/ slow release capsules? Are you using MG nutes? I gotta say I have grown some of my best using MG products. No fucked up taste or any other myths that I used to hear. I don't use it anymore because I dont like messing with PH. But yeah man, nice plants and let them all know the bullshit about MG products... pure fiction IMO
