Well we ordered 10 Seedsman Northern Lights from The Attitude Seeds Co. last Friday August 22, 2008. We received our babies 8 days later on Saturday August 30, 2008. so in celebration we had a couple :joint::joint::joint: and a lot of bongsmilie rips. After we awoke, we decided to start the germ process. i'll post pics later when we finish everything. stay posted for the thread!

i'll try to post updates at least once a day.

i took some pics of the seeds before germ. and the 2 main apparati we will be smoking the plants out of :D

im hooked can't wait to see your grow. What r you doing soil, hydro? lighting, nutes hook us up.

I'm going to be using soil, 23w 6700k CFL's. i also have a homemade c02 dispenser in the grow area with 2 fans circulating air. im going to be running the lights on for 18 hours light and 6 hours darkness. this will technically be my 3rd grow, but i still dont think i have enough experience so please bear with me.

what nutrients do you guys think i should use during my grow?

and im going to plant 6 plants first, so how many 23w CFL's do you guys think i'd need? i was thinking about 1 bulb per plant at about 12" from the tip of the plant. also is there anything else you guys think i should add to this journal/my grow?

bongsmilie:joint: !!

Heres a pic of my N.L. I got it as a clone!

That is definitely not enough light for the whole grow. For the first couple of weeks maybe but that's about it. You should put them alot lower than that too. I wouldn't put them any closer than 2-3 inches, and no more than 4-6 inches away. You'll be able to tell if they are too close because the leaves will start to curl away from the spot that is too close. Are you planning on more lights later?

i'm actually in the process of building a new grow area and yes i'll have more lights in there. i hope to post pictures of that soon. i really hope to finish this project before the NL seeds germinate. brb bongsmilie

edit:

just found out that 3 seeds germinated and are very healthy! unfortunately.. when i opened the paper towels, i noticed that the seeds had germed, so i went to get the camera to take a picture, but when i saw the picture i noticed only 1 seed.. i looked everywhere for 20-30 min but couldn't find anything so we have a missing nl baby somewhere out there.. =[

but on a happier note im going to plant the other 3 healthy babies :D

pictures to come in 30 min!

i just planted the 3 seeds. the soil was flushed and let sit for an hour before i planted the seeds.

i noticed when i opened the paper towel to plant the seeds, one of the tips of the white tap root of 1 seed broke. it was a small piece but im wondering if the plant will be ok? :/

here's a picture of the germinated seeds and a random bagseed

none of them are pikes soil. i got a little backed up with work and noticed late that the seeds had already germed to over 1/2" so i wanted to transplant them to soil asap. and it was 1 in the morning so i had to make due or else the next time i could do any work would be the next evening. so i got some left over soil from a kellogg amend bag and mixed it with sta-green potting mix.

i want to transplant my NL's soon. anybody have any suggestions on what brand soil i should use? ill post pics when i get home. theyve grown a little bigger and all have their first "true leaves" but theyve only been getting taller for the past few days. is this normal? i dont know if its the heat from the attic or if theyre supposed to grow slow in the beginning.

BUT IT IS REALLY WHAT EVER U CAN GET A HOLD OF
