Problems with new clones. Need help.

Im having some problems with clones I just picked up. Not sure if its a matter of lockup due to PH, or nutrient problems. Im currently using 2 1000kw hps with blue t5' fluros for supplement. Nutrient wise I have been using, Bottanicare Pureblend Grow, Cal-Mag +, and Liquid Karma. I have been mixing the solution weak, and have feed twice within the last 5 days. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have been out of the growing world for a few years now. Dont want to start back up again on a bad note Thanks all!

Temp is 81 constant and humidity is about 45%. I think I could raise the humidity a bit but.

Thanks for the replies, I can turn the lights down to 600 if you think it would be better, but I just figured more light more productivity. If its a case of overwatering, just leave them be until they look better? I was running DWC and aeroponics last time, so soil is a semi-new turf for me.

Edit:
So overwatering can be blamed for the yellowing and curling under/sideways of leaves? I can see it being the case, if its overwatered, it isnt soaking up any of the nutrients it has so.

They look nice, did you transplant them in pots or did ya clone right in them? If transplanted what medium did ya clone in?

They were rooted into small pots with Pro-Mix HP as a medium. I transplanted them into 7.5's yesterday with more Pro-Mix HP. I was turned over to it by the guys at the store. The middle plants are in Roots organics soil, anything in the black pots are pro-mix. I just am worried about the general yellowing of the lower leaves and droopiness of the plants in the black pots. Bad curling on some of the lowers.

the best way i found to water is by lifting the containers. compare the weight of wet soil to dry soil and after you do it for a couple weeks, you'll know when it needs water just make sure you water them before they wilt.If your back cant handle it, some people will putthem on a scale. not sure on your soil but if its a hot soil, you wont need to give it nutes for about 3-4 weeks ( depending on soil). within that time frame, usually the only defiency i'll get is a manganese (rust spots on the leafs)and magnesium because i use ro water, nothing but a little cal mag cant fix.

what roots organic you using? potting mix, green lite, greenfiels, or 707

I do believe it is the potting mix. If you look, the middle most plant is still in the bag.

Beyond the watering problem........ This is a big problem... HPS are for flowering, the blue T5 or MH lamps are for vegging/clones...... The blue T5 Flouro is all you need to have them under at this point.

If you continue with the 1000w HPS lights, you should at least put a MH bulb instead, and keep the lights about 36" above the plants at minimum, and all thats really doing is reducing the light to each plant, its a waste of electric still.........

the potting soil is not hot, has some nutes but not much. the greenfiled and 707 are very hot soils. make sure your ph is correct and recalibrate ph reader just to make sure. i like my soil about 6.3

I have a Sunblaze 48 on the left side of my room, all blue 40k lumes. The light spread on it wont hit all my plants because of the pot size So i have it shut off. I am using the 2 1k hps just for light spread basically. Which MH Bulbs do you recommend? I am using a Galaxy digital ballast and a phantom digital ballast. Not sure if i can swap bulbs or not.

You would simply replace the 1000w HPS bulb for a 1000w MH bulb, any brand/manufacturer will do. They are easy to spot, they are much larger than the skinny HPS bulbs. They will fit in any reflector just fine...... Soon as you flower em, switch them back to HPS bulbs.

Some ballasts allow you to run both bulbs, some auto detect, some have a selectable switch, and some are only for MH or only for HPS bulbs, but they are becoming much less common. Your owners manual or the companies website or just looking at the ballast should say something about bulbs on it.........

Nice Setup...Totally agree with most here..when you overwater it can look like just about anything becasue in drowning the roots its a crap shoot which micro or main elements get locked up ..general droopng, yellowing, stunted growth, various leaf patterns of brown spots, yellow spots..and can run the gammet..I guess we all like to love our plants to death...IMO you can do a fine job of bringing a plant home with mixed lightning..sure it's nice to have as close to a 6500k or 5000 k for veg growth but more then one wise man here as grown a pretty nasty crop in yellow light...had many a killer veg growth in the late fall after re-veggin a retired mama and I have seen many here talk about spectral blending which is exactly what you are doing..if it was me and I was as serious as you look to be I would just go out and buy another 600 or 1000 MH and blend that in with one or both of your HPS lightsyou got the room ...nuttin like having the best of both worlds for your kids...and if your into Lumens you know HPS gives you 20% MORE bang for your buck...however MH does penetrate the canopy better and has better anti - fungal/mold/microbial actions due to the higher UV rays it emmits..either way the only thing you have to do for a day or two or three is Nothing but watch them babies pop back up and lets see em lift their leaves up and shake your hand....hope this helps..

Also soil should be a "no-brainer" but only if you start out in soil that has no added punch already in it. Have to give a big Kuddos to just about all the soil growers here who embarrased me so much with even the thought of MG or anything that has pre-loaded nitro in it....clones IMO are way too fragile until they take off and yaneverno how much nitro your plants get when it releases everytime you water...most all here talk acid PH @ 6.5 but anything between 6-7 should work.....dont know if you use peralite or not but I usually fill the entire 1/8 or so of the bottom of my container with Peralite...good by root rot..also you can do some pretty fancy tricks with peralite/vermuculite/sand and a little charcoal and grow really large plants in really small containers...if anything and I again saw this mentioned right here..it's kind of nice to NOT have go 5 to 7 gallons each pot if you dont really need it...toodles...

He did say he had a dimmable ballast to 600 so my guess would be its a newer ballast and be able to do Mh or HPS

Yes both are digital dimmable ballasts.
