problems with jiffy seed starter mix and jiffy 7 pellets

First off jiffy sucks. Ok reasons why. 1 jiffy seed starter mix doesn't get wet, water runs straight through it. And when it does get wet its too wet. And when it drys it drys fast and completely. Mj seeds can't germ in that. Maybe tomatoe seeds or pepper seeds can but not mj.
2 jiffy 7 pellets with greenhouse dome soaks up too much water and no oxygen, thus smothering the life out of your tap root. It will germ mj seeds but half the time it will dissolve your seedlings before they sprout. I have personally experienced these situations this week. I recomend good old water for 24 hours then soil or paper towel. If you have had bad experiences with jiffy tell here. If you had good experiences tell here. Oh and jiffy 7 pellets are good for cloning

Ok I just did somthing new. With the single seeds I got from an online bank I placed them individually between 2 cotton balls and put them back in there own ziplock baggie that they came with. Then I poured some rain water in each one and squeezed out some of the extra water. Then I seeled the baggies and put them in the dvd case they came in (haha) and placed them in my grow room.
I read somewhere in here about using cotton balls for germination. Anyways I think it will work. Let me know what u think of this

Double post my bad. Ok all seeds have cracked in just under 24 hours using the cotton ball method. I must say I like the cotton ball method to germ I will be using it again. Never will use jiffy again only to clone

good idea. jiffy are tricky not anymore then anything else tho..
