Problems with grow. Please Help!

This is my first grow. I am growing bag seeds, but there is a very good chance they could be some sort of strain of marijuana. I am growing two plants right now in an aerogarden deluxe extra I believe it is. The first plant has been growing for 10 days. I planted this one first. The second plant has been growing for 7 days. They both are sprouts. With seed leaves, the first plant has almost two sets of water leaves, and the second one has one set of water leaves. I started giving them nutrients when they sprouted. My light is not too close to them because I want to avoid burning. The problem is that there is yellowing of the leaves, mostly on the seed leaves, but it looks anything beyond normal. The first plant is the worst. The seed leaves are just about completely yellow and look dead almost. The second plant has a little bit of yellowing on one of the seed leaves and possibly a bit in the middle of the first set of water leaves. My temperature inside my grow box is 81 degrees max and 73 degrees min when lights are on. The humidity is 77% max and 68% min. I thought that it could possibly be a nutrient deficiency, so I flushed both plants this morning, and have not given them any nutrients since then. It has been about an hour since I did so. I do not know if this is the problem though. I also believe it could be a ph problem. I am not aware of the ph level right now because I have nothing to test it with. I am hoping to go to the store today and get a tester. So that I can determine whether or not it is a ph level problem. I am looking for some expert advice you could say. Also a solution to the problem. I believe there is one. The first plant seems as though the growth has been stunted while the second plant continues to grow at a fast but steady pace. I really would like to keep these plants because aside from the yellowing they look good. Please help me. Here are two pictures (one of each plant).

you thought it was a nutrient deficiency so you flushed them and not givent hem any more food?

wait till you get your tester then feed them a decent amount. say 1.0EC

They don't really need that much food. They are sprouts. There are nutrients in the soil they are in, but I figured I would cut the "food" way down to see if the nutrients could possibly be a problem. It's more or less a test. If nothing changes then I will give them nutrients again.

Maybe they need food, it looks like the soil is a bit rough looking.

*sigh* they have been getting food. Could too little do that to the leaves? Or too much? Those are questions I am looking to be answered. The soil is a tad bit rough but it's not as bad as you are probably thinking. I Smoothed it out this morning.

nutrients is the problem... as in they're not getting enough. cutting away the food supply is no good.

So how does that explain the yellowing of the leaves a couple days ago when they had been fed?

Could i suggest its the medium then maybe not getting enough O2 in there, hydroton or perlite could work better.

I put hydroton in there this morning. I am pretty sure there is enough O2. I will open up my ventilation a bit more if not.

I read that last post wrong, well should I feed them an adequate amount of nutrients? Then test my ph and do things not half ass backwards. I am dumb founded. I just panicked. Anyway I am going to feed them and keep this thread updated, and hopefully you guys will be posting as I do.

i'm subscribed... get your meter, measure the nutes, make sure pH is OK and then add it to the res.

When mixing nutrients rememer these pointers:

leave tap water to stand overnight, this is very important as it allows the water to get to room temperature. as water warms up the pH drops. so leaving it out ensures less pH swings once the feed is in with the plants.
mix nutrients at least two hours before adding them to the res, and also stir them up directly prior to adding them.
never mix pH up and pH down together int he same bucket or reservoir.

Well you were right, I should have tested my ph first. I just tested it, and it reads at a level of 7.8. The ph level with the nutrients in the water is 7.5

Sorry to double post, but I got my ph down to 6.2-6.5 in between there with the nutrients added and I have them in the water and back in the hydroponics. I will post pics of them daily as they progress. Thank you for the help guys.

i never gave my little onse newts at that age in fact i go organic and dont give them any newts no need.

I was thinking that same thing at first, but people were saying give them nutes it's their food they need it. I don't even know man. Check out the previous postings. They are clearly only sprouts. Maybe noone even bothered looking at the photos. I don't know, but I did give them nutes earlier and it wasn't much.

by going organic you are still giving them nutes.

I can feed seedlings 3.2EC and they'll grow just fine... ffs

I am just wondering, but how long could could it take for my sprouts to recover?
