i have the new and old version and none of them came with oue of those!

Are you sure you have the old version i think I bought mine 3 years ago. The bottom of the pots were flat on the ground and the newer version has it hollowed out about 1-1/2 inches to raise them up a bit. Also old one has a total of 3 float valves and the new one just has 2. Also older one came with different pumps than the new one i just got!

Hello, I have the same problem and fix it.
I put a check valve close to the drain pump in the controler and move the pump fall away from the float valve.
I turn the lower check valve up to the corner about 45* angle.
Outside the controler at the corner ( under the lower float valve ) I race up about 1/4 " at the corner so the water run to the pump and pump back the your res.
I'm sure you will fix your problem like i do. Good luck.

is it 3 float switch or two? you can order check valves from CAP but I think they also sell something in home depot but I never found one there.
The newer units with two float switches aren't suppose to require the check valve, I've been told they have a 3 second delay built into the drain power outlet. dunno how this is suppose to address the issue . I have an ebb monster that has two float switches (supposed to be fixed with the delay) and I ended up ordering a check valve from CAP.

make sure the controller is nice and level too, I had to shim up the front a little and the pump quit coming on.

I am currently running the ebb and gro system and for some unknown reason, some of the pots are filling to the very top of the buckets and others are filling to within 4 inches from the top. I have a few plants(one in the front row and 3 in the back row of my two tents) that are drooping like limp dicks. Is there anyone that can explain why this is happening and can anyone advise me on what I should try to do to perk up the droopy plants? The water in the system drains after a fill cycle really slowly. is that a problem? Thanks for any and all answers.

Just got an ebb n grow system myself.

1 month veg from seed and the roots are already going into the tubes. I a sure this will cause a problem. I keep taking the roots out of the tubes.

@ Hellraizer or anytbody who can help......
hey man, You seem like a freaking genius, I really need your help with my controller box, I need to know where my float valves need to be positioned as far as the on and off switches and when either are supposed to be opened and closed, something is shutting off my pumps and saying theres a switch error, and it was just working fine yesterday, wtf, really don't need these issues ahah, please message me
if you have any ideas on how the system operates, Thank You, take care

Im having a similar issue, the pump filling the control bucket keeps a siphon and slowly leaks into control bucket after a cycle Hydro shop wont help so buying a check valve is seemingly a smart fix if I can find.

look for one of these on amazon or wherever you shop. There's probably a 3/4 inch one too.

And depending on where the siphoning is taking place an elbow with a small hole drilled in it works, ebb monsters come with one already drilled.

You need to drill a smal hole in the little plastic elbow that is going back into the res. Also make sure that that little elbow is not submerged under water. I had the same issue.
