problem with plant

I may have found another problem that I was doing wrong. I had bought a used timer. It works fine, I just did not understand how to use it. It has a ring of buttons to pull up and I thought that you would pull up one button for the time you wanted off and one for the time on. I did not realize that you had to pull up a button for every 1/2 hour you wanted off. So I was getting about 1 hour of off time a day. Under HPS will this stress the plant out? Thanks

Nope, no problem, no stress. In flowering that would have messed you up and thrown it back into veg if it went on long enough but even then such a simple mistake wouldn't cause stress or a hermie. If that's all it took to make a hermie, then it's worth finding out anyway so you don't grow that again.
