Ok firstly keeping a pot inside another container is never a good idea as it doesn’t allow water out and air in so you need to remove the pot from that container and allow free air to access the drain holes in the pot. Never let your pots sit in water!
You should also water when the plant wants water and not to a schedule, more so if you are using natural light, this is because on sunny days the plant will drink more than on dull days, so water requirements are variable; the tried and tested method is to feel when the pot is light in weight and use this as a sign that your plants need watering.
Your soil doesn’t look like is has much in the way of perlite in it which allows for air to get to the roots. Dense soils have poor drainage and starve roots of oxygen, next thing you know you will have root problems like mold. If you smell the bottom of the pot and can detect mold you will need to address this by carefully re-potting into better soil, add sand gravel and perlite or vermiculite.
