Hey, im new in to the forum and growing, so let me introduce myself my name is George im 63 years old and im learning how to grow, i've did some plants before and it run all good, but now that im trying more expensive seeds im having a little bit of trouble.

Im doing: DNA RP's Headband and Purple Wreck, and Northern Lights from Nirvana.

The problem is neither the Headband or Purple Wreck looks health, while the Nirvana Northern Lights FreeBie does look health and strong as hell.

Im using Advanced Nutrients,

So lets get some photos here:

Purple Wrecks Behind, Headbands Front

One of the most "deficient" Purple Wrecks

Nirvana Northern Lights

Looking at the photos you can clearly see the diference in terms of structure how the NL is much more well builded ...

So whats going on im doing something wrong ?

Or is it just a normal thing...

I no expert but thought I'd chip in.

They look ok but not great. Different strains have different characteristics and different rhythms.
They are seedlings so not too much fertilizer. Keep moist but not wet. When they get another set of leaves you can up the ferts and hit them with more light.

How old are your plants? I am growing northern lights from nirvana as well. I also have some headband going. If your plants are 2 weeks old or less, you should not be feeding them.

Hey guys thanks for your time.

So i think i fucked up in the water talking with a mate of this forum, i reached that conclusion, so i will let the soil dry and use less water at those early stages. Another point that i need to put out is that i started them with 1.3 liter pots, and in that period i made a 3L water / 6 plants ... I mean the soil was to wet so i changed to 10 liter pots and i will give them 3-5 days and wait to see if it will change or if it is something like genetics or another factor ...

MrOldGuy , nice to have you on and glad that you are growing such a magnificent medicinal plant. To me it looks as though your plants could use more water the soil in the pictures is looking pretty dry. Also you should give them some Nitrogen and that will fix the paleness and vigor issues. If you are growing in an amended soil or / soiless medium you don't have to fertilize until the plants get somewhat established and can hold their own. If your soil is "bland" then you need to feed them as soon as they start growing for the most part . No food = no grow and pale colors.

STFW sparky? "mroldguy" LOL!

First off a little feeding will help....say 1/4 strength nutes one time please.....
The 2 Indica dominates are big feeders..... Go lighter on the nutes to the N Lights as that is Sativa dominate and is a lighter feeder...
Go up to 1/2 strength after a week and then full strength the next

I don't like AN.....it does work but, you pay too much and they say you need to use too much extra CRAP...

If you would like to keep it simple.....
Use Dyna-Gro Foliage -Pro start to finish! No "bloom" food!
Have a Ca/Mg in there and some Dyna ProTekt (Silica - worth while supplement)

Keep in mind that when using a Silica supplement. You should always add the Silica to the water first !! Mix it in by stirring well!
Then add your base nutrient, mix, add the Ca/Mg last !!

This is simple and costs way less then AN and you'll get results that are just fine for you with less plant issues!

Hey guys thanks for all the answers!

@Jimmy Sparkle thank you mate hope it turn into good meds, well you said it looks a little bit dry, yea it looks like that because i changed from 1.3L to 7L recently and the 1.3L was overwatered so i decided to not water while it is very wet at the roots

@Dr. Who im using AN just to test i know it's hell expensive but i'll give it a try just to see if it is something special or not i was using GH and didn't had problems.

After transplants. I like to water away from the old container size on the new soil....I feel it promotes root growth to the new soil faster.

Just be sure to do the water - feed - water - feed pattern with AN.....

Good luck with it.
