Running in Coco about 3-4 weeks old plant was healthy prior to feeding 24hrs ago. 700ppm and 1.5 EC PH 5.9 fed until some run off...Running with Canna Nutes ...Seems to be mainly on Old Growth Any help would be appreciated

Yeah wishing I went back to what worked in the past with DWCHow many coco posts are we going to continue to see with cal mag deficiencies ?
I use 5ML per gal of cal mag with canna coco nutes already. What a pain in the ass this coco is.Looks like it might be cal deficient to me.

We lose power here often thought coco would be a little more forgiving if I did, also thought humidity in my basement tent would be easier to control. Why didn’t you stick with dwc?

Canna with RO water needs Cal / Mag supplement ... they assume the tap is coming out at .4 EC with Calcium and Magnesium naturally occurring in the .4 . You think I’m over doing the nutes ?Coco is easy. I've been growing with it for years with great success. I don't use calmag either. The key is to use a nutrient that already has adequate amounts of calcium. What I use has calcium nitrate as the main nitrogen source. You'll find that many of the less expensive hydro nutrients do that. The designer nutrients don't have enough calcium in them on purpose so they can sell you another bottle of stuff. Another thing with coco is that less is better. The feed charts for many nutrients have people overfeeding. As odd as it sounds, overfeeding can cause nutrient deficiencies.
To grow successfully in coco all you need for nutrients is calcium nitrate, a micronutrient blend, and maybe some MKP depending on the P/K amounts in the micronutrient. Any decent micronutrient blend will already contain adequate amounts of magnesium and the calcium nitrate will supply all the necessary calcium. It doesn't make sense that a nutrient line supposedly developed for growing in coco would need to be supplemented with additional calcium or magnesium.

Ok thanks, my EC is coming out at 1.8 and pH of 6On all my grows the first couple sets of leaves always get a bit rough looking like that, new growth looks pretty good to me but I can see just a little tip burn, I would measure the PH and EC going in and then measure the the PH and EC coming out (runoff), if EC is alot higher coming out then you are over feeding etc.
Ok, i think you said going in was 700ppm so 1.4 - I would back off a bit on the base nutes and feed around 500ppm 1.0 EC with PH at 5.8 - your PH is fine but you dont want it rising to much in Coco try keeping between 5.8 - 6.2 - make sure your using Calmag as well in cocoOk thanks, my EC is coming out at 1.8 and pH of 6
