prepering for 1st grow soon ( just need some advise)

okay guys i been reading websites & forums like this for info about growing
i also been watching videos from all types of growers.
so i feel i can now start growing for my self & learn from self experience.
i wanna put all i have learn so far & put it into action.


i feel the need to start small cause this is my 1st grow i am not going to put a 1000$
for a 1st grow so i am going to do a 200$ budget grow.

for this grow i am going to use a cardboard box 28.5" tall 18" deep & wide
i am planing on using 1)6500K & 1)2700k .125watt about 7,000 Lumens cfl's
i would be using fox farm potting soil & nuts grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom
lights would be set on a timer DUH i am planing on 12/12 from seed
pot size not sure but im thinking 1.5 or 2 gallons
i would be growing bagseeds simple reasons is one 1st grow 2 i already have the bagseeds so i can test what i learn on crappy seeds so if i fuck up i wont kill myself
when i feel ready i can do a better grow but for now is pointless to waste money on seeds when you have free seeds around.
i am planing on germinating 5 seeds planing to pot all of the ones that crack hopefully i get a least 3 or 4 to sprout & destroy any males when i see them
any advise on how i can put all this together. & how to get the most out of it.
i would like to keep 2 or 3 plants for flowering. to help my chances of fem

please don't talk about how hps is better then cfls i am very aware of all the options & for my need cfls are what i need for now. later on i could upgrade get a grow tent & put hps & make a better grow but that is to much money to put into something you just wanna try for now.

i didnt read everything you posted, but use the 6500K cfl for veg, use 18/6 light cycle to grow your plant and then 12/12 when you want to bud it, 2700K for bud. have your cfl close to the top of your plant, but you will need side lighting from cfls aswell. id skip those high priced nutrients and get more CFL. regular nutrients will work just fine. Schultz is one i reccommend. they make one 20-30-20 w/ micro nutes (good for veg) and a Big Bloom 10-52-10 for flower. you will need to feed the 20/30/20 during like week 5-7 of flower. also you might want to pick up micronutes to mix w/ your big bloom.

you haven't taken into consideration ventilation. It will get too hot in there without constant air exchange. Plants need air movement over their leaves to thrive, in nature the wind provides that. the other guy pretty much sumed up any other comments I would have had.

well your nutes timer and ph meter is half your budget. then the last 100 must be used wisely.. like if you wanna water with distilled or tap ;O or.. DUNNDUNN DUNNN.. THE GLASS JARS TO CURE IT IN PROPERLY.

rhino1111 thank you for advise on the nuts & lighting. i think the fox farm nuts are about 30 somthing for all tree so you said i should get cheaper nuts & just get more cfl's ?
i prob going to buy from a local hydro shop.

Ya go to local hydro shop thats what i did.. but i dropped 750

yeah i have i am planing on putting in a 6in fan inside the box

lol ill see what i can do i really don't wanna spend much money to start off later on i wont mind upgrading shit but i just wanna try it for now

lmao i was going to buy online but i just found out today i have a hydro shop so that is where i am going

WAIT. if you wanna Hydro setup go to StealthHydro.com and Look at the Oxyponic setup. DWC thats the 1 i USE and its amazing. It is revolutionary to DWC

well idk if hydro is a smart idea cause i really haven't done the research on it i done some but not enough...
question if you was me with a limited budget & space what would you do ? to grow 2 or 3 plants for personal use?

thoes are my personal babies. 1st real grow. never got soil =/ i think hydro is easier. little more expensive. but DWC all you need is a air pump that comes with the set, and the NUTEs. with a measuring cup from your hydro shop. Grows Biigger plants, Faster. not many bugs

600w digital ballast. ran MH durring veg HPS now durring Flower. That Oxyponic Setup DWC. Uhm, NO PH METER Distilled water+PH down basically ^^ (next grow will be better) uhm, I use FoxFarm Nutes, Sylica Blast, Guano, Seaweed, B1 thrive. No Co2. I diddnt top I slightly tied some branches to allow more light to for support.

sounds like alot of cash but fuck is worth it is a small invesment to smoking exotics for cheap how much did your set up cost 1000 plus?

this all ran. 225-hydro setup. 450-Light&Ballast Nutes-80 water-Never ends but im guessing 30-50per grow. Misc. (buckets, trays for a failed EBBFLOW, pumps for the failed EBB flow.)-200 So Yes a little north of $1k for this setup, could do it with $700easy. So next grow in a few weeks im getting a 2nd 600w. and going 4x hydro and 5-6 soil right next to each other.

So im about $500-600 away from my next grow but it should be worth it. I might go all out & get a small tent with a WOMPWOMP CFL to VEG a Mother an some clones? but that would be the 3rd grow. I never want to stop.

wow i wish i had that much money to blow cause your set up rocks your plants look really nice & 1st grow wow man.
