prepariong to grow in the arizona desert

Hi, I have been getting very intrested in the thought of growing my own bud. but i have a couple problems. growing indoors is not a option and i live in phoenix arizona.

However my backyard has a couple miles of undisturbed desert so i plan on growing there. for my first attempt i just plan on growing one or two plants from bagseed. 1.) Should i use a 32oz styrafoam cup or a shoe box. (I know i have to bury them or the roots will fry.)

2.) If i use the cup or shoebox how often should i water it and how much water.

3.) the arizona sun is hot, how much sunlight should i give them a day? after i give them the sunlight what should i do? should i build a cover to cover the plants up? or put a tarp over them or something?

im a little confused about the whole mechanics of growing once my plants start to grow leaves than what? i know theres a flowing stage but what do i do differently?

any other tips are appreciated

thanks :)

dude....ive never heard of someone growing desert style. if there are any choppers that fly over, a big green plant in a sea of sand might stand out, but good luck.

maybe try barrying a trash can (metal) and make some holes in the bottom for drainage then fill the bottom with a layer of rocks to help drainage, then some good soil of your choice. id def. start your seedlings inside so they dont get fried and move them out when there about a ft tall or so. hopefully that will be a good way to start getting your project on the way, by the time you get all that done im sure you would have spent alot more time on the site like everyone else does learning about nutrients and what to do for your plants.

keep growing, and damn. i wish i had a bigass desert togrow in lol
