I learn something every grow. Learning how to fertilize a solo cup has to be a benefit to improving my fertilizing in a larger pot. I have some 3 gallon 12/12 going now in early flower. They were the seedlings I tested with some on the heat mat after watching Budzbuddha's seedlings take off. For me the experiment showed no benefit. One issue was my room was so warm it really didn't change the lights on temps and may have added one or two degrees to the lights off temps.

They were never given much attention and could be bigger and they never got the best lighting as the solo cups were my priority so they are small but healthy. Left them in the small pots to long before transplanting.
All have the Clorox incident damage to the lowest leaves and the new growth following came in great.
I have an old 600w hps bulb and an old 400w hps bulb going in the flower room now, both 18 to 24 months old.
Any day I should receive a 6 pack of 600w hortilux eye super hps bulbs through Walmart for $41.50 each shipped.
I'll measure the change with a couple of cheap light meters set on the floor before I change them.
Once my 3x3 tent arrives I'll be able to veg some bigger bushes.

Here are a few of the nicer ones.
12/12 from seed, same genetics as the solo cups. Water only so far.

WTF??!! I just looked that up and found it. Nice find! :blsmoke:
Yeah, that's the best price I paid to date. I remember the old days parking across the street from the hydro store. You could tell the real growers. Polite, quite, and paid cash lol. Now I use a credit card and have stuff shipped.
I got a great deal on a 3x3 heavy duty version of the Gorilla tent, not the light version shipped for $290 through Walmart. Should arrive soon.

Oh nice. I like the Gorilla ones. I'm trying to get the Unit Farm guy to make a few adjustments to his tents. He posts on this site and other weed websites. He uses similar stuff compared to the Gorilla tents. I paid about $250 US for my Gorilla light 4 x 4. Not a bad tent considering it's the cheaper material but if the Unit Farm guy makes some corrections I may try his out. His 4 x 4 is going for around $300 using the same materials as the heavy Gorilla tents.

Sister Solo Cup update :

These ARE NOT in the comp but are the other cups I grew with FRED.

One is getting the chop today - noticeable Amber .
( Trimmed her bush for bikini time lol )

The other one gas begun to do a fade on the bigger fans but triches are iffy so I fed her a drink of Beastie Bloom ( 0-50-30 ) just to make her eat up the nitro and push the bloom.
I guess another 5 days or so , we will see. Things change fast with her.

" Sea of Solo " has 3 cups started so far with 6 more seeds hydrating in that skull shotglass. 2 are showing a tip so I am watching them. Hoping to get them all under the Quantums soon. I am only doing this for funzees . But I really kind of liking the whole 12/12 from germ . Not for my autos but for my regs / pollen chucks and misc. beans .

I plan to do a 3x3 with 9 ( rows of 3 each ) in 1 gallon grow bags under 12/12 for a typical SOG grow at some point.

WELP all cups ( Fred's Sisters ) are ready to chop .

I left them to DRY in the cup instead of cut and hang. This worked out pretty well.
One on the left was dried a few days longer and will be clipped for jarring .
The other one has been drying for 2 days and will be looked at in a few days before cutting buds free.

Cups are bone dry and will stay that way while it begins to dry for jarring.
I will combine them all together for jarring not really caring what is what.

I am glad I have been able get thru all of it with out too many issues.
With so many great looking plants in this comp , I am looking forward to see what everybody's final plant looks like.

Fred is jarred and in cure mode with a BOVEDA 62 to keep it stable .
Got close to 3/4 jar so I figure the others should AT LEAST give me a jar full or so.
This was pretty fun , so I look forward to getting into another comp grow.

Is Fred in a quart or pint jar?

Regular quart - I have wide and small mouth jars. Most of the buds are not broken down , was too lazy to make ( cut ) uniform sizes . Basically held plant over jar and clipped into mouth. I will weigh out once it has been curing stable for at least another week.

The other two solo ( combined ) will definitely get me a jar plus some extra , and as I mentioned before I'm just gonna cure both together ( not caring what strain is what ).

I didn't post a pic this week since my were harvested and dried, but the final dry weight (13 grams). A buddy and I will both be providing full smoke reports.

I'll be posting my final pic before chopping this weekend. I've been swamped with harvesting my main crop, plus I started a new grow journal and spent most my time this week updating that.
This has been fun, and illI definitely be up for another.

Another person harvesting, it's getting lonely :(
Does anybody have 2 to 4 weeks left?
If I'm alone in a couple of weeks I guess I'll have to go to the other comp and hang with the Brothers and Sisters who are still flowering.

Oh Well!
I won't go over there and get myself scolded so I'll show my entry against my Bud here!

It's #5 the thirstiest Bitch in my crew, should begin the swelling stage in about a week or two.

I'll show #2 my entry here on Thursday when they will have been flowering for 8 weeks with 3 or 4 more weeks to go judging by the look of # 5.
#2 is so ugly compared to the rest. :(

I'll hang here for a couple more weeks then I'll go visit my Brother and we can finish together!

After all, those fluffy pop corn buds I see over there don't have me beat yet lol!
