Got in over my head building a 5'x6' tile shower. Built a kick-ass frame out of 2x4's and Hardie board, water proofed, all plumbed for 3 heads, 1 on the front wall by the shelf, two in the back by the seat. Started tiling, got up to the first accent strip, and kept thinking I needed a hand. I didn't do bad, but I'd like to learn from someone experienced. I got a guy at work, it's just a matter of making it happen. I have all the tile and mud.
It's a theory of mine. If you design tile showers where a person can envision themselves having a day drinking orgy in it, they might pay top dollar for the house. I swear, I see all these nice new homes, and you can't take a shower without brushing your arm on a curtain.

Yep im doing a walkin curbless shower with a linear drain
It wouldnt be so bad if i used a curb then i wouldnt have to drop the subfloor.

But i too want drunken orgies in my shower lol
So im dropping the subfloor lol

Dude, my curb is like 8", so a curtain or glass door framed in. Beats lowering the subfloor. Then you just pour the base within that 8". Just enough to keep the water in.

Howdy contestants. Just rolling through to check in on the progress. Your plants are looking good people! Wish I was still in it!
Here is my little grow cab goings on as of yesterday. The big one is my Orkle, which despite a little nute burn, has recovered fairly well from the ass kicking i gave her. On the left is the Sherb Valley I started for the contest. She is still 12/12 from seed and is now in a 2 gallon pot and doing well.

Hope you get better soon.
Unfortunately that's unlikely to happen in a hurry, something's moved in my back and, well, surgery is likely needed sooner than later as pain levels have shot up to somewhere near Venus and the left leg's almost useless

Was expected to happen, just not this soon.

Shit happens, life will go on, but obviously I've got bigger priorities now than trying to grow. Thankfully it's now so I haven't exactly lost anything compared to a plant near to harvest but it's still not the most pleasant of experiences. Worst comes to the worst there's always wheelchair rugby, and my taxes should drop further so it's not all bad!

Argh like a dummy I set my party cups out of the way to cleanup and water other plants, and forgot to put them back under the light/water them for four days. They were a little droopy and pale last night when I remembered them. Seem to have perked up a bit this morning. I'll get a pic tonight when lights are back on:dunce:

Been there. Left a germination tray with 12 seedlings in it on a work bench in a 55 degree garage for 3 days one time. They were not amused.

I think maybe it's the warming pad under the tray keeping her legs warm ...
Cuz I never get this kind of growth normally with cups out on a table.

I only did it this way because of night temps - lights out. My room heater ( timed ) took a shit and was too lazy to go get one from walfart. But seems I will pop cups this way from now on. Strangely , I get faster growth sowing a seed straight into cup soil than in a cube or rooter plug sitting in tray and dome.
Sounds like a heating pad experiment is in order.

If my plant survives to harvest, I'll have some results before the tournament is over regarding the heat mat.
Actually I'll have results before the tournament ends whether I'm in or out since I'll be starting more cups in a couple of weeks lol.
I was planning on starting a bunch of cups for transplant into bigger pots to add to this grow. Not sure if I'll veg them in a separate room from the 12/12 or if I'll just grow them 12/12 from the start.
Thinking of going 12/12 from the start and firing up more lights and letting the cups enjoy the extra light during flowering.
Tell you one thing. I get no points for efficiency lol.
I'm taking last place for that.
Just received my 2 new 600w ballasts from Walmart's online store. $200 shipped with shipping and tax included, seemed like a good deal. My other 600w ballast became unreliable recently and I can't risk that.
Switching the 400w mh to one 600w mh.

Sorry to hear that. I've been dealing with back problems lately.
