Pre-flower?

I'm a little confused on this preflower thing....anyhoo, my plants are 3 weeks old so I should have a pre-flower?

Is this a pre-flower?:


If that's a pre-flower, that's a female right?

No that would be the stipules. This was the best image for the job hope it helps The pre flower will appear near these but will look like one of the flowers u pull off some dried nug. Hair will be white though.

No that is not a pre-flower. the first time i was trying to find preflowers i was so fuckin confused i had no idea what i was doing. at 3 weeks you might be able to see pre-flowers on some strains but it all depends. the best way i can describe a female pre-flower is that it looks exactly like a pistil (or hair) that you find on your weed. the preflowers will first start to show up at the node sights right beside the part of the plant that you thought were preflowers (they are actually called stipules and appear on male and female plants.)

On average like 5th 6th node set. Some strains are hard to see. Some are huge. Others dont show at all

here is a picture that might help you out:

The (X) labeled parts are what u are thinking are preflowers. when your plant starts showing its sex, if it is female it will look like the labeled parts (Y). if you have balls there instead of the pistils it means it is a male. GOOD LUCK!!

i had this problem and i been growing for a while still aint seen no preflowers on any i have grown, but i have had to admit defeat after doing a bit of research, there are plenty of threads on here explaining them, then again i still aint seen one till i have switched...

that pic really cleared it up for me, thank you . However...I pinched my plants at their 3-4th nodes....so where will these pre-flowers show up? i'm still a little lost...

the preflowers will show up where the arrows are pointing:

it doesnt matter that you pinched it they should still show up there. just be patient lol its hard but they will come.

When they shoe u wont miss it bro promise. There not there obviously. But super cropping shouldnt of done anything to it. I super crop myself. If u get no pre flower clone it and as soon as it roots give it 12/12 in two weeks you will know sex.

I'm putting them on 12/12 next week anyways..so i guess I'll just wait till then.

okay guys, how about this pic? I'm sorry, I don't anything that can zoom in more, but it's not one of those stipules, so if that's a pre-flower I am hella excited cause that would be a female right?!?!?!?!!

Sorry dude I personally dont see any pre flowers and that pic was very clean. Like I said b4 you will see it very clearly as a flower. Give it time or flower it to force sex.
