ppm meter

I am looking to get a good reliable and accurate ppm/ph meter for my new setup. I like the wall mounted continious meters for ease of use. Any oppositions? I was looking at the Hanna tri meter for $180. Since I have no experience with these meters I thought I would as here first. Thanks!

I have two hanna grochek meters. I love them. Fast, accurate, easy to calibrate, illuminated readouts and with three lcds you don't have to toggle between readings, ph, tds and temp are all there. Really good deal at eseasongear. com. $168 w/ free shipping.

I just went through the meter buying process myself. I looked at Hanna, Milwahkee (sp?), etc. If you ask me, you owe it to yourself to look at the Bluelab Combination Meter. Unlike other meters, the Bluelab comes with a five year warranty on the unit itself and, I think, a 6 month warranty on the pH probe.

Also, their customer absolutely kicks ass! I ended up breaking my pH probe by using an outdated Bluelab cleaning kit that should have been taken out of inventory. I emailed Bluelab and they arranged for me to pick up a new replacement probe at my local hydro store within 48 hours. Unbelievable!

It's a little more expensive than other meters at around $250.00 but with a five year warranty, if it broke the day the warranty expired, it would still only cost you less than $.14 a day to own :)
