not sure what's going on with my plant, i haven't grown in hydro before, i don't own a ppm memter, i am planning on getting one next paycheck, regardless weather this is the problem or not. if it is something to do with my ppms, what's a simple fix for the time being for while i don't have a ppm meter?
i'm feeding 1.5 tsp big bloom/ 1.5 tsp grow bigunnamed.jpg

the drooping? none of my other plants have it but her.
It's probably just at its sleeping period in the day even if your lights are on 24/7 your plants will still go to sleep for 4-10 hrs a day and droop. Once you flower OT becomes a full 11-13 hrs a day and triggers flowering.

i've never had my plants droop like this unless i'm overwatering in soil, even during sleeping hours my other plants don't droop like this.

Where is your water level at? What nutrients line are you using? Typically when people say they are having ppm problems they usually refer to over feeding. So the usual solution is to just add more water and less nutes.

Ya, keep the water level 1"+ from the netpot. Make sure the waters between 65-70*F.
Change out the water and possibly even hot soapy water scrub the whole system if needed, due to a bacteria or fungal growth.

I'm going to assume you are using the hydro fox farm nutrients?

Here's the ppms on the grow big. Big bloom seems to be organic?

i don't even have foxfarm for hydro, it's for soil, really. i'm working on getting better nutes, gonna go with jacks321.

my water level is 1in from the net pot. i'm using fox farms nutrients, big bloom and grow big. i've added water/less nutes time and time again, no results though.

Hold up what nutes are you using? Your not using hydro nutes?

Get hydro nutes yesterday and a meter.

There's like no Mg in your mix and organics and hydro are best separate.

I like Jack's 321 and use it myself. It's dirt cheap. No reason to not have it yet.

Even if you got a ppm reader I would question the accuracy. My guess is you have some serious salt build up at the bottom.

yeah i do, i mix it about every 3 hours to keep it from settling too much.

i'll get some espsom salt today, hopefully that'll clear up some Mg issues, how do you think i should dose per gal? i don't think any stores near me carry jacks 321, i have to wait for my next paycheck for that anyway.

I think you have to get it online. Greenhouses carry JR Peter's products but they are more catered to food crops and soil lines. They won't carry the 5-12-26 line.

Calcium nitrate is another item which is the 2 in Jack's 321. Epsom is the 1.

Basically means you use 3 parts Jack's, 2 parts calcium nitrate and 1 part Epsom.

I find 2.4g/gal Jack's, 1.6g/gal calcium nitrate and most often times don't even use Epsom to be the ideal ratio for my garden. 3-2-1 is too strong. This is for full grown plants.

At this stage dose 0.25g/gal epsom

I read this as he has soil plants and this is his first stab at hydro. Unless he does have other hydro plants?
i had my 6 plants in the soil, switched one, saw how much better it was then soil, then switched them all over to hydro.

I have done hydro for a while but never heard of soil or hydro nutes. With that said i dont use nor will i use fox farm so they may differentiate their lines. Now some organic bottled nutes are recommended for some systems over others. With that i dont believe the op ever said what system he was running. Personally it looks over watered so maybe not enough D/O but need more info.

i'm running a krakty system with a red solo cup & a net pot. next pay check though, i'm getting 1 gallon mason jars, putting black socks over them, throwing in an airstone, and hopefully i'll be golden.
i'm using the bottled nutes because its what i had on hand, and i was eager to try something new and experiment..
What's d/o?
