PPM...does it matter?

They're both important, but you get more from higher o2 than higher ppm. Moderately hard water 200 ppm.

Seedlings 600-800 PPM.
Veg state 600-1000PPM.

Full on bloom with co2 added, and HID lights. 1200-1400 PPM.

I tend to look at this as over feeding, personally. Regardless of bloom or veg I shoot for less than 800 ppm. If anything I will feed more often at that level, but shooting above 1000 in solution I don't believe is beneficial to the plant.

Ultimately you need to adjust PPM to how your plants look. PPM is just a guide nothing more.

Currently I'm running 1200 PPM (-100 start water ppm.) 1100 with co2 supplementation and 1kw HID's.. Some of the strains im running are looking a bit underfed to be honest. But its an intentional cutting back of nutrients for mid to later flower.

Chemdog is a heavy feeder As well as Jack Herrer, they can withstand heavy feedings, and they look great to me.
