Power outage

Hey everyone. Lost power for little over 24 hours in my flower room. Things got hot but plants survived. They are still about 9/10 days in. However one strain started to go yellow at the top of the plant. It’s only one strain doing it. Will these leaves recover once the normal lighting cycle recovers and the chlorophyll gets back to the plants?

Really. You don't think the power outage has nothing to do with this?
A small 24 hour power outage is not gonna hurt them. On a few occasions for the last grow, the lights in the bloom tent were off for over 48 hours due to inclement weather and they suffered no ill effects.

But these fans also look like they are tacoing a bit ... where the edges curl upwards. Could either be light stress or heat stress - possibly a bit of both - that affects this strain more than if affects the others.

What are the temps inside your grow area?

Are you able to measure the lighting intensity across the top of the canopy?

I didn't say that! Just telling you what it looked like to me.

yes it got hot. It was about 90 in the room when the lights were off

The most overlooked micro - good one @simpleleaf .

I will put 1 tbsp. ( dissolved ) of Epsom Salt in the 2 gallon tank used to water the plants every 14 days. They get Epsom starting back in VEG.

Do you give them Epsom for the added S?
I don’t because i never had a sulfur deficiency. I use k sulphate at the end of flower. My base has enough micros

I give 1.2 g/gallon MgSO4. That's a little over minimum. My recollection isn't great, but pretty sure I read 0.95 g/gal is minimum per one study.

CaSO4, calcium sulfate is another. 9 g/gal of water, and it takes a day+ to dissolve. I stored it as only CaSO4 and water, only mixing it right before use. It was used at 20% of the total nutes. The other 80% of the nutes were made up a little stronger since they were only 80% of the total. The problem with this technique was the build up of salt(s) in the potting mix, as long as that didn't get out of hand, the plants looked fine. But I didn't like that salt build up, so am trying other formulations now.

There's also K2SO4, potassium sulfate. I used it once but not long term. I know some folks use it in their nutrient mixes.

Color did come back with regular lighting schedule thankfully. However plants are still showing signs of heat stress hopefully that will reverse with the days to come. Temps around 78-81. Thanks for the input everyone.
