I havn't been able to find out how much a 400 hps cost to run....
how much electricity would it take to take a crop from cutting to budding??
which kinda makes me wonder how much each harvest really costs?
any one?

From what I've seen, you have to know how much your electricity costs per KW hour, and then you can run that number through a simple equation that's stickied in one of the forums to figure out your monthly costs.

I know it aint gonna cost much. I run 2 and it was an increase of less than 20 bucks a month.

400 watts wont be shit. Maybe $60 the entire grow. I had 5000 watts a one time and my bill was $600-800. WM

hahahhaha a one k power bill. so 60 bucks for what could be a qp isnt bad..... but 600$ thats like 4p harvests yeah? thanks for the electric advice.

I have a 400 watt HID and it only cost about a $10 a month increase in my bill on the 18/6 cycle. I changed out all my incandescents with CFLs before I started so I'm sure that offset the cost a bit (I have over 57 bulbs in my home).

Now... my portable A/C that I had to add to the room is another story.... that thing added about another $30 to my monthly bill.... totally worth it to keep my room nice and cool.
