Powdery mildew, strange, maybe not

So I had my first ever run in with good ole powdery mildew. It took on some of the younger lower growth. I removed the impacted foliage and diluted a Home Depot brand fungicide, sprayed them down and it went away.

What I did find interesting was that it only impacted one strain from one breeder.

I always run Bohdi outside cause his stuff is so dam reliable and easy to grow. None of my Bohdi strains we're impacted.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm assuming some strains are simply more stable and disease resistant. It's something you always read but seeing it first hand is something else.

In 2017 I had a Blackcherry Soda that got utterly ate up with PM- the plant right next to it was Chernobyl and didn't get a speck of PM

Last year I was given some Indica strains and I had a lot of problems with PM. This year I ran only sativa CBD strains and used the heck out of neem oil through the whole process. I even put a little bit in with the plant food during watering. Haven't had one drop of PM so far.

Pretty common to see pm resistance vary between strains. I always keep a bottle of house hold peroxide on hand in case it rears it's ugly head, works better than anything else I have tried. One cup to a gallon of water or around that it doesn't have to be exact.

Can you use peroxide during flower? I ask because I am at 100% believer in the power of neem oil however last year I overdid it during flower and f***** up some bud so I'm looking for another PM option during flower besides neem oil.

I use milk! Works great and won't stick to your buds. I've used it right up until harvest with no ill effects. Dilute it 3 to 1 with water.

I use it all the way through flower, if it's mixed a little too strong it might turn white pistils orange but thats the worse case scenario. Has zero effect on taste, unlike neem. Any spot with pm will show a "burned spot" on the leaf with in a day, it eats pm right up.

Personally I use neem in veg and stop using it completely once flower kicks into gear.

Great advice! Thank you for taking the time!
