Powdery Mildew pass through generation via seed propagation?

Hi everybody, long time troll and first time post.
Since Powdery Mildew (PM) is systemic, will it transfer into future generations by seed?
In other words: If you pollinate a plant that is infected with PM (although relatively healthy / no or little damage) will the seeds of that plant also systemically carry the disease?
I plan on crossing some strains this summer and any experience with the issue would be greatly appreciated if shared.

The disease will not be transferred within the plant, however, I do believe it could brought I'm I'm seed shell. Same problem though.

there is a powdery mildew prone gene in plants (as well as one that is resistant), so if you are breeding plants that have PM you are likely to be propagating that through poor gene selection, rather than through the seed coating itself

Bimple are you suggesting that pm spontaniously comes to existance as though conjoured through the ether?

It has to come from some where.

iv seen it though clones but never seed. i dnt think it wuld be very smart to grow seeds from a plant with pm. maybe you could control it

Hey guys thanks for the reply's.
One of the reasons why I would want to cross this strain is to keep many of its characteristics but perhaps breed in the gene that is resistant to pm.
I would of course rinse the seeds with a dilute hydrogen peroxide solution to clean the shell of any spores.
I want to emphasize that the plants only have PM systemically and are not showing any signs of infection at the moment. If things get out of hand later on I would of course scrap that project.

No i will tell you from personal experienve with absolutely no scientific backing that you will not pass on pm i have pollinated a few plants with pm and it doesnt seem to have an effect on seedlings

Powdery mildew is brought about though non ventilated, high humidity high temp conditions.
In a nutshell the grower creates the environment for this problem.
Nobody just gets it, doesn't work that way. If you get it burn your weed cause your smoking poison

There are 2 ways to get PM..... 1 spore which is airborne can cause PM..... PM is on almost all grapes roses bushes its a airborne spore unless your growin from clones .....then it was taken from a mom and when the right condtions present itself usually in flower PM pops up....If you take clones from an infected mom yes your passing the pm to the clones...I have bought clones from stores that looked great until 4 weeks into flower PM...I have taken clones from infected moms because I didn't want to lose the strain then I sprayed the rooted baby with eagle20.... I never had any PM on any plants grown from seeds.....
