powdery mildew live in dirt?

Dumb question but gotta make sure...My room has PM in it and I have like 7 days till the crop is done so I can chop and clean the F out of it and bomb it and sulphur it...anyways, my dirt stash is in there and had the lid off a couple times. I have some babies to plant and was wondering if it's ok to use that dirt? I just don't want to transfer the damn PM.

Don't worry about it.

No matter what you do, you will never completely kill or eliminate PM spores.

Just a sad fact of life.
