Powdery Mildew lead to Bud Rot indoors?

I just bought a bunch of clones a week ago and didn't give them any ventilation in my small space for a couple days, and they got a small case of powdery mildew, just a couple spots here and there on some of them. I have all of my environmental conditions under control now, and I'm using various sprays to keep the PM suppressed.

The clones are just about to flower and I'm considering scrapping this grow and sterilizing my grow space, and starting over.

If I decide to continue with this grow and the PM continues, can the fungus spread to my buds and cause bud rot, or will I only have to deal with the PM (since I have my ventilation going now)?

I'm curious as well. I think as long as you can keep the spores under control you should be okay from what I've read. From what I've read and gathered it seems that PM is really only a problem if he gets out of control. Once you get ventilation under control you will definitely be able to control it better, but those plants are infected for life.

However if you just have clones right now, I would seriously consider dumping them, sterilizing your grow area and starting anew. I'm pretty sure that in flower PM will yellow the plants really affected which will hurt yield.
