noticed i had pm (powdery mildew) about 5 days ago. im using a 600w w raptor hood in a 5x7 room with air intake (6 inch) pulling from basement and room being exhausted outside. my temps are around 76 never exceeding 79 during the day and lowering to 68 at night. my humidity is around 35%. I have a wall fan blowing on top of canopy and another oscilating fan blowing upwards on the bottom of the canopy. i did try using 3 ml of h202/gal with a higher ph of 7.3 and foliar sprayed the plants. it seemed to help a bit but 2-3 days later u can see it comming back. i did catch it early but am afraid if i dont do a better job at stopping or controlling it i could possibly loose everything. i only need another 2-3 weeks and its harvest time. any suggestions would be appreciated. also i have some exel lg but am hesitant on using it, specially so late into flowering

Sounds like a fungus.. Pics?

There is something called "de-fuse" which you can use as a spray which kills algea, moss etc and is safe for the plant

no pics at this time, ill take some later when the sun rises. some of the leafs have a white powdery substance on them, sometimes have to look at it just right to see it and other leafs u can look right on top. i dont see anyting on the buds, just on the leafs.

i'll check defuse out. im very leary about spraying the flowers so definatly gonna do my homework. i appreciate your feedback

My buddy gave me a mother plant of his because he is moving and it had white spots on the fan leaves. Its powdery mildew I dont know how he got it because we are in Phoenix and its always dry. Anyways dude cut the effected fan leaves off and get a fan blowing in there also trim the lower foliage and any dying leaves.

another week problbaly start flushing so would i be able to use physan 20 and how soon will u see results? when the light kicks on gonna clean up the plants and try to take most damaged leafs and hopefully air moves better in middle of canopy bot dont want to take off any lower branches this late in flowering do to stressing it and skrewing up hormones distribution( afraid to hermy it)

i read somewheres that using phosphate will speed up pm and another one says using nitrogen speeds it up. not sure and was thinking about just flushing it last 2-3 weeks.

I didnt read that you were flowering. I have never dealt with powdery mildew being that I live in the dry desert I only have it on one plant that is a mother. Good luck dude

Problem with having it on your mother, from what I understand PM is a disease and that disease is in your plant, and will be in all clones which will ultimately be susceptible to PM. I have not heard of physan20, sounds interesting.

it says that physan 20 is a non systematic fungicide. have not found if u can use it till harvest. will do more research. have to make sure i look at all posibilities so i dont mess them up.

i heard the same thing dst. also heard that if its in the clone, alot of times not visible until 5th week of flowering which is my case. have other clones of it so i might be starting from seeds after harvest and cleaning the room and fixtures. would love to keep this strain alive (pineapple express), but might have to say goodbye unless i can fix my clones. again, any suggestions would be appreciated

No problem. Physan 20 is great stuff. It cures and prevents almost everything. I wass uffering from powdery mildew and contacted physan 20 directly to ask how to treat it with their product. They replied by saying 5ml as a soil drench would cure it and if i hadn’t seen results within a week to up the dosage to 7.5ml per gallon and use it as a floral spray. The soil drench worked for me and now i apply physan 20 once a month as part of my maintenance program. Honestly it is an amazing product with an endless amount of uses and it is very affordable.

This is good info. For instance in my situation ( clone mother) I plucked most of the fan leaves that were affected but you say if I do a soil drench with this stuff my powdery mildew will clear up in due time? Again thanks for posting some good info
