Potential prob...can an eperienced grower help

HI I have 2 plants and this is my first grow. My plants were fine yesterday and then I watered them after yesterday after 3 days of not watering and when I checked on them this morning the one plants lower set of leaves(the set of 3 serated leaves) was kind of wilted and cupped over a bit. The water was tap water(unsure of the ph) that was set out to evaporate for a week before using it. Is this a prob and does anyone recognize it or what happened. Any help would be appreciated

You let the water sit for a week?!?!??? That just doesn't sound good, don't know if thats the reason but If the water isnt sealed in a airtight container, flowing, or bein oxygenated with like an air stone than having it just sit for a week isn't good. I'm pretty sure it takes 48 hours for the chlorine to evaporate out of ur tap water, though don't qute me on that. Why don't u spend someoney on a Small Boy water purifier and start PHing and I'm sure ur plant will do better l. Although I've been giving my outdoor plants water straight from the tap for last 2 months and their fine.

I will also add that the other plant shows none of the symptoms this one does even tho it was watered at the same time with the same water...to be clear the symptoms are the lower set of 3 serated leaves...the tip has curled up and has gotten kind of hard

To be honest the plant doesn't look bad bro, Give it a week or two and see how things progress and then post pics again. I'm sure everything will be fine, as of right now the plant looks fine.

The leaf tips do seem to be curling a bit, maybe you overfertilized or there is too much fertilizer in the soil.

Whats your set up. Type of soil? Do you add nutrients to the water or what? Give us more details and we'll be able to help more. Whats your grow area look like, what are your temps. humidity etc. etc.

Pretty sure 24 hours will get rid of your chlorine, I water the plants and then fill the watering bucket right away. I have an air stone in there until the next watering. I mix any nutes I am adding right before I water the next time. I am sure to flush out the bucket when done to get rid of any nutes that may have settled the on the bottom.

Letting water sit for a week will not hurt it. I have rain barrells where water sits for months sometimes. Shove an airstone in there your plants will love it. In your pic you plant looks fine, you did not kill it.

So your saying you have water that sits in a barrel, not sealed, not flowing, and no air stone in it, for months, and it doesn't smell like complete rancid shit?!?!?!? Just trying to clarify correct me if i'm mistaken. I only ask because I've had water that sat for 2-3 weeks and it smelt horrible.

I have a 250 watt metal halide setup in a 2 feet deep by 5 feet wide by 6 ft tall enclosed grow area, wrapped in mylar with a intake fan blowing on the plants from the bottom and a small outtake fan on the top...the intake fan brings in fresh air from the outside...the temp inside the grow area is usually about 79...has gotten as high as 80...humidity is about 50 percent...I just use regular potting soil and have applied nutes once after they were about 2 weeks old(i thought I read that was too soon so I havent done it again...was regular 20/20/20 plant food) I have order a set of the general hydro nute sets but havent gotten it yet(thought it was more laid out and graphed for a newb like me) What bothered me the most is how one plant reacted like it did and the other didnt. To be honest the 2 plants I got to grow were planted the same time but one grew much better than the other. Now the one that grew better is the one with the leaf probs...its basically just the 2 bottom set of 3 serated leaves that look bad. The cottling leaves are yellow and dead like but ive gathered that was normal

thats what did it right there. way too potent for a little seedling. I wouldn't even give something like that to my huge outdoor plants. I've fed them nothing but water up until today, and I started the bigger ones back in February. I gave them a 0-10-10 for flowering. 20-20-20 for a two week old seedling is way overkill.

These have had nothing but water all season up until this morning when I gave them their first feeding of Liquid Koolbloom from General Hydro. 0-10-10, Also top dressed a bit this morning with powder Rainbow Grow 5-5-2.

I figured as much and thats why I stopped....its been 2 weeks since I gave that plant food...so should I flush the plant or leave it be? Also I just ordered a water and a soil ph meter. When I get the general hydro nute set later this week...when would you guys suggest I start using that then?

Whoa! 20/20/20?! Waaaaaaay too strong for that lil one! listen to bud.... he knows whats up!

Peace, Love, and Greens! :weed:

heres a more recent pic...appears its all dying now...any help is appreciated
