Potential first grow setup, grow tent help?

I was wondering if the 400w hps or the 600w would be the better choice for this tent size?

The 400 would be easier to cool but the 600 would not be overkill, just harder too keep cool. Guess it depends on what you are looking to get out of your grows.

Not masses of bud just a couple of plants probably. Want to make sure that if i pay the extra for the 600w thats its gonna be cool enough with the provided extractor etc or if the 400w would be a safer choice for the heat.

you will be fine either way...1.2meters is about 4 feet right? i would stick with the 400....600 will cause more heat and higher electric bills and more watering....if this is your first grow start simple!

ok cool will go for that and change to a sunmaster 400w dual spectrum hps bulb? would that be ok? sorry for all the questions.

you can get a ballast for both MH and HPS lights with also variable wattage settings meaning you can use the same ballast for 400, 600, and 1000watt bulbs...you might want to get a good ballast and a good reflector that can fit different bulbs, this way you can buy different bulbs not new reflectors and ballasts if you want to upgrade...

IMO if your getting a 600 watt or 1000watt light you could utilize more space so get a bigger tent.
