I am growing outdoors in az

I have 5 gallon pots i think.. they are about a foot tall and about a foot wide

They are not filled up all the way with soil and im worried they will outgrow these pots

How can i transplant such big pots?

the seedlings are already planted in the pots and i want to transplant

How old are they ? You want bigger pots eventually but starting seedlings offin them is a poor way to grow as they are always in damp soil. Anyways just scoop them out and fill the pots up and replant them, MJ is a very tough plant it can handle it.

there was much effort and debate in discussion on this matter a little over a year ago. I believe the conclusion was that pot size isn't nearly as important (within reason) than we might intuitively think. It has probably at least as much or more to do with the other elements of your environment, light, water, nutes. My last grow I used 2 gallon pots. I will do the same this next round. It might be valuable for you to check into the archives for that discussion. If I find it I will forward a link to you. Good luck.

Thanks guys, i think ill just stick with these pots, but just add some soil to the tippy top :)
