Hey all,
I have a 3x4x6 foot tent I plan to use for flowering this grow, I’m trying to limit my veg time to achieve a crop on a faster time scale, and I’m also planning on using a perpetual harvest. Previously I’ve done a perp harvest with autoflowers germinating them 3 weeks apart but this will be my first start with photos doing this.
I use homemade organic soil with amendments and KNF, no bottle nutes.
So here’s the deal, I can fit 9 3 gallon smart pots with flood trays in the 3x3 area, and probably 3 more in the other few sq. feet. The humidity is extremely low here (20% in the desert) so a dehumidifier/equipment that would need floor space isn’t needed in this grow.
If I did 9-12 plants in this, how long should I veg? At what size of the plant should I flower. They say 1 gallon of soil for every month of the plant, so with a two-ish month flowering strain I’m guessing 1 month veg 2 months flower? I’m assuming it would be best not to train them as this would cause crowding, so maybe a sea of green type grow would be best in this setup(?)
My deal is that I enjoy strain variety, so growing one or a couple monsters in this tent isn’t really an interest to me. My plan was to drop 3 plants in, and one month in out another 3 in, and so forth until filled out to create a revolving door of genes.

Alternatively, I was considering 7 gallon smart pots as I was given a bunch. How long would one veg in 7 gallon smart pots, and how many would effectively fit in a 3x3 for maximum yields?
I have 3 fem Christiania Kush seeds germinated right now, was planning on vegging for a month, flowering, waiting a month while my 3 Peyote Cookies vegged out and then moving those in there, then so forth with my Afghani/NL x Mango Haze and then Strawberry Lemonade.
Edit: one of the reasons for this is the insane amount of seeds I have. I have 8 different strains and about 5 seeds of each (some are regs not fem tho) and I’d like to start knocking them down. All are 7-9 week flowering strains and I have the ability to raise and lower the different strains for light as needed.
Vegging under 4 6500k T5HO 54(per bulb) fixtures and flowering over SE dimmable 315CMH.
Any opinions by the pros is greatly appreciated!

You could probably fill a 3x3 with an 8 week veg and 7gal pot with one plant if you topped it early and super cropped it just before flowering.

If you want a quick turn around 1 pot per square foot with a month veg from seed seems plenty.
For a SOG you could go as high as 4 plants per square foot, but personally I would probably go with the middle ground somewhere between 12-48, depends on the pots you can get dimensions. Maybe look at 6.5ltr pots you could fit 24 plants in a 3x4

In this case, would the three gallons be overkill or just fine? 4 week from seed to fill it out and the rest of the room would get filled out during flower, yeah? They take up exactly 1 sq/ft. I’m thinking for a central colla-indica type it would be perfect, Sativa maybe not so much.

Maybe be bigger than needed but its not going to be detrimental to the grow. More roots more fruits.
