Possible 12/12 Switch

Whats going on people...

I'm thinking of going 12/12 on my seedlings in about a week to save on space due to restrictions and I'd like to go ahead and weed out the males early for space. When I do go 12/12, as far as nutes go...do I start off giving them 1/4 strength nutes of the GH 3 part series or do I go the full amount for the flowering period? I'm just wondering, I'd appreciate all feedback. Thanx

o okay, i appreciate the info kush. yea...i was thinkin bout waiting for them to get a lil bigger before i go to 12/12. I want them to get slightly closer to the bushiness you have in your avatar pic, then switch.

noooo you don't trust me. That harvest was one of my hardest and lowest. So much fucking triming it was sad, that was the 2nd night under the hps. Ever since then i have just cut it to 12\12 at like 8-10 inches. the plants i have in my avatar are like 18 inches. I mean if you want to try for yourself by all means go ahead nothing is better then experience its self, and seeing as i have that experience all i can do is suggest what to do. But let me know if u have any questions about anything and ill try my hardest to answer them for you.

I just read the Grower's Bible by Jorge Cervantes and it says "The pre-flowers grow at branch inter-nodes just behind the leaf spur or stipule about the fourth week of vegetative growth, when the plant is six to eight weeks old. This is the point of sexual maturity, the first sign a plant is preparing for flowering-the next stage in life." I also read that if you flower before the plant is sexually mature it will effect the quality of the bud. Good luck either way!

Thanx all for responding...

I'm only doing it so I can have a continuing flow of bud, and it's a very beneficial way of growing if you have time, space constraints. I've seen wonderful bud on the net via this method. But yea you're totally right it is going to have some effect, mostly in yield but some quality side effects. I'll try to counteract that with proper harvesting and curing :o)
