I'm in 60 miles east and I'm putting my starts out May 15th. I'd be more worried about the rain, wait till it starts getting consistently dry. Mid-June is a good bet.

it is "safe" to plant after may 15th, generally. however, historical records show that we have dipped down to 25 degrees as late as may 29th. it has never broken the 32 degree mark after that date for as long as we have kept records.

however, consider that we are in a weak la nina pattern this year, meaning the spring will be colder and wetter than usual.

also, consider that planting into colder ground will impede the plant's development. may as well wait until at least june, if not mid june. take the extra time to gets your outfit properly set up and ready to go.

that is my plan at least.
