Will it be ok to run exhaust from portable a/c unit into the attic? Currently running it thru a boarded up window.

Some people have set up a booster type fan to assist their attic vent.

The ones I seen were to assist in keeping the old house cooler.
Not growing related.

The fan was set to go on and off according to temp.

I have to assume you could also set it up to be humidity that triggers it.

Or just run it full time.

Or you may be fine as is as sour stated
Just food for thought should problems arise

Just requires cutting a hole in the ceiling and putting exhaust tube in it. Im in an old laundry room so i run comdensation into the old drain.

How ? I'm currently venting out a window. If I could vent my light and AC out the attic seems so much safer.

Thanks
Do you get snow where you live? If so it's sorta weird looking when everybody else's house has a foot of snow on there roof and yours is all melted. Also if concerned with smell you need to watch how you setup a portable AC since its exhaust can put off skunky smell.

I guess I need to wrap my head around cutting a hole I ceiling, new house so tentative but it the best way I can us an inline carbon filter I'm told to eliminate most of the smell.

South Florida no snow

as others have said, you will need to cut a whole in your ceiling and run exhaust ducting through the hole.

for smell, i run a carbon scrubber in the room. it just sits in the room and exhausts back into the room. basically it just pushes some air through the scrubber. i am sure it helps some...

i had a friend that grew in an upstairs bedroom. he took the shell of a window ac, stuck it in the window, and vented through it. nothing suspicious, an ac making some noise? business as usual.
if you do vent through your attic, i would still vent it out of the soffit, i wouldn't let it just vent into the attic. you're asking for mold doing that, unless you live in the desert

THANKS! Good call R.A.S. I wasnt thinking damp(ish) air. I moved vent back to window today. Experienced mold before. Dont want any part of that.
