the last one resigned which i believe to be only the 2nd time in history..the new one is Pope Francis..i think he was franciscan fathers..who took the name of St. Francis of Assisi ..

the catholic church has been pushing their "Social Justice" line for centuries, ever since the enlightenment broke their hold on the educated, wealthy and the self-determining classical liberals.
