Pollen

You can get pollen from a male plant. Just take a gallon sized zip-lock put it over a branch with pollen sacks on it after they have cracked open, and shake it... the pollen falls off in the bag. store it in the freezer. use when you need seeds.
 
have never seen any ads for selling pollen, but as hillbilly said it is probably easier to grow on one of your males in a different location, collect the pollen, and store it in the freezer.
 
the only problem with selling it would be storage and shipping coz really it should be used immediatly,u can freeze it but if you sold it and shipped it to ppl how would you keep it frozen!it can go mouldy very easily.
 
i suppose,but storage and shipping would be pretty expensive which would make it not worth it finantially,plus youd havta deliver by hand to garuantee freshness,coz if you sent it by royal mail for example they may store it somewhere very warm which could cause condensation to build up in the jar or bag and destroy it,i think thats why ppl dont sell it,too much hassle.
 
finantially it wouldnt be worth it!post and packaging would cost too much!its much cheaper and easier to make ya own strain of seed.
 
I dont understand why you cant order pollen, it would be soo kick ass if they had a site that sold all different kinds of good pollen!
 
because its not worth it,if ppl could make money from it they would sell it!youd think atleast 1 person in holland would sell it if money could be made!its much easier to store seeds,post and packagings much cheaper and when ppl get the seeds they dont hvta worry about having a special freezer to store the stuff in,most ppl just have a normal fridge freezer!and how would the package stay frozen if shipped from holland to the states for example?as far as i know sorting offices dont have big deep freezers to store packages!its way too much hassle thats why ppl dont do it,plus ppl can just crossbreed there own strains anyway.
 
seeds are pretty illegal to own where I am... I dont think pollen would be illigal... I mean, it could be anything. I think if a company really got set on doing it they could come up with a relativly easy way to ship it.
 
Store it in a film canister. That's were I keep my seeds.
If the company over nights the product or
choses the quickest shipping method I*m sure it would be fine.
Just label it as Tulip pollen or another plant and your set.

That's just my theory.
