Pollen

Hey Gardner's
Wondering how long pollen stays viable after it has been applied to a female flower
I have 2 females in the same tent both flowering, & only want to pollinate 1 plant (only the main cola)
I was thinking about removing the plant to be pollinated, from the tent, pollinating it ,let it sit for an hour or so, then put a big paper bag over the pollinated cola & return to tent , removing the bad a day or so later
Would this work or is there another option?
I don't know how long pollen stays viable

So after a day, you think the flower that received the pollen would have been pollinated, if so why not just leave the plant away from the tent for a day ,mist with water & return to tent ?

Sorry to hear it Alpha. I once thought I should pollenate just another branch on some SSH. I now have more seeds than I could ever sell or give away.

Move the target plant to the shower. Turn off any fans a/c or sources of air movement. Pollinate the target branch. Let sit for 30 min to 1 hour in the shower. Then, turn on the shower and rinse it off. Take plant out of shower. Then you take shower and change to new clothes. You and your old clothes have pollen on them, and if you wear them into the garden before washing them, they will make seeds on non-target plants.

After you rinsed the plant, showered yourself, and changed clothes, then put the plant back in the flower tent.

Very concise and effective I can add. bron
