So far vegging Plush Berry in straight Rootz for two weeks. Plan to transplant per Sub's vid, which means a blended middle layer of Rootz / Supersoil. The SS will be 5 weeks old when used.

How's the Plush fare with the hot SS? These are really showing Indica with the fattest goddam leaves I ever saw. So given that Indica doms can be more sensitive, should I blend that center a little cooler?

I have to say, these are extremely healthy and fast growing.
 
I had two awesome plush ladies grown in ss. Both of them did great and had no problems when transplanted into the ss. I used about half ss and half roots with a buffer layer in the middle of 7 gallon pots. One pheno was a massive yeilder and the other about average, but both were excellent quality. All I fed was some bud candy and sugar in the raw at days 25-45 or so. If you follow Subcool's instructions you shouldn't have any problems. One pheno finished at 60 days and the other took a little longer. Some of the best tasting smoke I've ever had! Here's a pic of the monster pheno at day 45DSC00965.jpg

i just chopped 2 plushberry's down l;ast night. I had the purple/pink pheno and the more indica leaning green pheno. Both look to be great quality smoke. I allready tried some of the pink/purple pheno an d its great. The green pheno was the bigger yeilder. I ran them to about 65-67 days of 12/12 and vegged them both for around 8 weeks.

It was my 1st tga strain and im very happy with the results.

I wanted to let both of them flower a bit longer but i had some problems with bud rot on other plants and i was getting nervous.
The green pheno needed a bit longer then the pink/purple pheno.
 
If you check my TGA Garden thread, I ran 2 PBs in supersoil. They both finished @ day 53 and are the frostiest dankest plants ive ever grown. It was my first SS run so I used a little too much SS with those phenos. I was expecting 8-9 weeks but it was more like 7-8 weeks. Eventho i didnt get the best flush of all time, the buds are ridiculously smooth. You could probably take a gram down with a 10gallon gravity bong in one hit and not cough. I expect this next run to be the real deal.

I also just dropped 5 more PB beans.
 
i use 5gal smart pots for flowering. Here is my theory:

45-55 days flowering = 25% ss
56-63 days flowering = 33% ss
63+ days flowering = 40-50% ss

Check your plants when you think you have 10 days left and flush accordingly. It takes a run or 2 of whatever strain you're running to decide just how much SS to use.

I have a freak plush berry that finished in day 53. I used much less this round and everything looks great.
 
I'm doing a scrog so they'll never get too big, Also seven (liquid) gallon pails. So I could probably do 25% SS for the PBerry. I'm also doing SSH which may finish in 8-12 weeks depending on pheno. Probably 40% would be plenty.

I've got 5 plushberry at about a month from seed and I am also seeing big fat indica leaves gonna top at 12" then at 24" and then wait a week and flip to 12/12 I can't wait to see how they turn out
 
8 weeks maybe longer I got 1100W of HPS and six feet of height to work but the timeframe may shorten if I can help it :)
 
8 weeks? They'll be big. I have 600W HPS on what will likely be three plants. 54" height so I do the SCROG. I may go 5 weeks in veg. I'll have to see. Thanks for the info.
 
I'll throw a trellis up at three feet and top before I flip I've seen tops as fat as a roll of paper towel doing that
