So my plants are 2 1/2 weeks old, I'm using miracle grow moisture control, it was the only thing I saw at home depot that I had also heard good things about on here. They do have time released ferts >_>, which is why I THINK I have certain signs of nute burn (only on a couple of leaf's so far), but tonight after work when I came home, I see this >_<, Also my some of the plants leaf's are folding inward :cry:...

By the way the marks, are rough like sand paper, but not brown and necrotic looking.. weird..

I'm not sure of ph, im gonna water tom. and catch the run off and see, thanks again. (But I have been ph'n the water from 6.3-6.8)

Looks like a watering issue. Also did you splash some water on the leaves when watering as it looks like a light/water burn. Also make sure dont add any nutes for 30 or so days just phed water

I know for sure I didn't splash any leaf's, I had a prob with that on my first failed attempt, so splashing is out of the question
Also I last watered 2 days ago, and this just showed up tonight.

o.k., how about you watering. do you have a moister meter ?

also the lighting ?
Yes! I do have a moisture meter, Water when it says to water, but sometimes the soil is moist 2-3 in down and the meter says its dry so that could be off, but I don't know why it would be...

I have a 400wattMH and a 400watt HPS side by side above, and 2 2bulb 4ft fixtures on the side for side lighting. Anything more info that could help solve the problem? THANKS!!!

How old are these that might be bit too much light this early. You want plants to be a week or more before going into a hid light as it can in effect "poison" them if to strong.Watch the water too as you shouldnt water until you can get a finger 2-3 inches down into dry soil

2 and a half weeks old, think the lighting would be a problem really? They are mostly all 5 nodes, 4-6inches tall.

im having trouble to say its the ph. 6-7ph is fine in soil, the soil works as a buffer compared to hydro were it has to be right. what is the plain water ph ?

can you take a pic of the whole plant ?

The plain water is distilled water I get from the store, ph is like 6-6.4.

Should have some posted within the hour...

Thanks bigmike!

If your runoff is low.....and the water going in is normal.....the issue is in your soil.

I don't consider 5.7 an ok ph for growing in soil. It should be 6.2-6.8.....both the water and the soil runoff.

Growgirl, yes flush.....I like the idea of flushing with 7.0 water but I wouldn't go above it. Usually you flush 3-5 times the amount of your pot (1 gallon pot....flush with 3-5 gallons water). Make sure your runoff is the same ph coming out as going in by the end of the flush. . Then give 1 small last ph correct watering with 1/4 strength nutes.

Its either abnormal ph, nute burn (from timed release ferts in the soil) or perhaps you've added peat moss to your soil? Peat moss is know for an extremely low ph. Either way....the answer is in fixing the soil.
