I'm trying to see if I should run both 1000w hps at 1000 or 750w each or just one at 1000w? My room is approx. 3 1/2 X 6 ft and apporx. 8ft high. Also, how many plants you guy recommend for this space? Your advice is greatly appreciated.

what is the light rated for ........what watt bulb do u have in the system ......if it is a 1000w bulbs then run it at 1000w
see dimmable ballast are crap ....they might dim but the lights they use are not designed to dim they are made to work at a set power (if u use them on under power they do not fully light up the light waves they admit are off and the life of the bulb is shorten due to the fact it is always trying to get to warmed up to what it was designed for )
select a watt ballast is what u want to buy next time they are designed to work at 1000w 600w 400w like the bulbs are

agree don't run your bulbs out of there designated watts.
I personally would do two 600 watt but if you can handle the heat(and electricity) do two 1000 watt.
