I am getting this setup from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ECY4UQ/ref=gno_cart_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2WRS4X4C0GMOQ it says it comes with a MH bulb and a HPS bulb. I'm assuming MH for veg and HPS for flower BUT the MH bulb there sending with it (excellent reviews) says 400 watt bulb 36000 Lumens but it says "Color Temp: 4200 Kelvin, Engineered for plant vegetative growth". They don't offer a 6500k bulb.... and the HPS bulb they are shipping with this grow kit is "2000K Red-Orange Spectrum, Designed specifically for Professional Hydroponic Plant Cultivation" which i was told 3000k for flower....should i get different bulbs or what should i do???? please help me!

2k is the center of the spectrum. Check the spectrum graph for the bulb. Unfortunatly, for everyone that veg's I can only offer ancient advise. In my system the only thing that veg's is the moms and sometimes a few clones that have to wait. I run eight 4' t5 daylight tubes 24 hour. When I need the shoots to start happening I turn a 400w mercury vapour(frosted) metal halide on them 18L/6d And increase the watering. I do have old halides in case of emergency and if I have to I'll use them.

Thats a nice setup especially for that price. That'll beat the hell outta growin with say CFL's or something. I couldnt tell if that hood has a glass cover or not, it didnt say but nice anyway. I have 2 hoods in my room and 1 has a glass cover and the other doesnt. The one that is open I gotta leave quite a bit further away to keep from scorching the tops.
Good luck and happy growing !
