Hey, I have just finished my first grow about a month ago (3 plants, got a half pound) got rid of some of it so I could afford some better equiptment. I did a simple grow in a 2x2 ebb and flow system with fox farm nutes and a 600 watt bulb in a 58x58x78 tent. So far this site has been beyond helpful.
Now I have a 4x4 tray to veg in my 58x58x78 tent, 2 600 watt systems in kahuna reflectors and a 98x48x78 tent to flower in. I will be flowering my plants in an Ebb and GRO 5 gallon bucket system. This time around I will be using the lucas formula.
MY PROBLEM IS AS FOLLOWS
I am setting up my 58x58x78 tent to veg plants in while I flower in my bigger tent. I like to do things as perfect as possible to achieve great results which worked out in my first grow. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO VEG PLANTS IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO TRANSPLANT THEM INTO THE EBB AND GRO SYSTEM IN THE FLOWERING TENT. Let me elaborate, I have herd that its bad to let your roots be exposed to your light, I am vegging under 6500k t5 fluoros, and I am using a ebb and flow tray method with a 4x4 tray and 30 gal res to veg in, but I will be transplanting my rockwool cubes / 1 foot tall plants into my ebb and gro system after a month but my roots need to be covered and allowed to grow adequatly without being stuck in a pot or hydroton.
This may seem like a retarted question but I prefer not to stress my plants to prevent hermies and I really dont know what the best way to Veg my plants is when using a seperate tent with a bucket ebb and gro system. I thought about getting bigger Rockwool cubes but the roots will still grow out all over the place before being able to transplant into the flowering tent.
