Please help me drying my ganja... something is wrong...Need advice!!!

My dog broke my plant and i was forced to do an early harvest... The bud was not as dense as i would like but full of resin... When I last checked the trichs they were milky white and slightly amber in color... When the plant was intact and growing it smelled soooooo skunky... Now that the bud has been drying for 4 days the smell is different...

My question is the following: since the bud has been drying for 4 days why is it that the bud doesnt smell like bud anymore??? it smells "green" it just doesnt smell like what i thought it would... THIS IS MY FIRST GROW... Any advice??? or am i worrying for nothing??? once it is completely dry and cured will the smell get better??? thank you everyone in advance for your help

A good cure will help. One thing I've noticed since I've started growing is that the smell is different to me than someone else because I've become so use to it.

I thought my last girls smelled like hay after they were somewhat dried but my wife told me they stank to holy hell. I just wasn't smelling what I was when they were growing.

Ok thanx ppl.... I would never rush drying ever... im gonna be patient dry another 3-4 days and then cure for atleast a week or 2 so thank you again everyone

yea bro, heres another pointer..

if they dry too fast, that "hay" smell will be more noticeable..a good slow dry is best, u can achieve this keeping the RH as close to 50 as possible.. this ensures a nice slow dry, and will help with curing as well..

my first time i overdried my crop and it smelled "green", jar em up when there more on the moist side rather than bone-dry.. let the stem bend and almost snap.. peace

im high lol, 1 more thing.. i cured for 3+ weeks for the dank ass smell to come back..patience is a virtue here, the more time u can give them to cure is best..ull be very proud u waited that extra week or so..
